Pharmacists should at least be able to prescribe some medications. People with asthma have no reason to discontinue their inhalers, it’s so inconvenient to have to schedule an appointment when I can just go to a chemist and be counseled by a pharmacist. tsk

I’m a pharmacist and I prefer the doctors to do the diagnosing and prescribing. Pharmacists don’t even get paid properly so why should we bother with taking on extra responsibilities such as pharmacist prescribing. If you look at the pharmacy award, the minimum wage is $33 for a fully qualified pharmacist. What a joke.
