I pulled away when he did and then I ended it by telling him we ran our course and the spark was gone. He wasn't ready for anything and needed therapy. I don't hate him. He was actually a great guy. We were just in two different places in life, he wasn't emotionally available, and he was kind and honest about it.

I also recently ended things. He went hot/cold several times; I finally told him I was moving on. He’s grieving the lose of his son and mother so I tried being more patient but I had to do what was best for me. He’s just not emotionally ready to date and I don’t have anymore time to give him.

I did the same however he wanted to remain friends. I reluctantly did. My gut told me no. Don’t stay friends! It was a roller coaster for almost a year and it just ended a few weeks ago by me catching him in several lies (he was talking to and seeing his ex gf the entire time unknown to me). Let them be lonely. Until they attempt to heal and becoming emotionally available - they will just drain you. Run.

Suggested to my fiancé we take some space after he’d pulled back for a few days. My son is oppositional defiant and made it so my fiancé and his children didn’t feel welcome. Part of me is angry my man pulled back because aren’t we supposed to be a team through good and bad? The other part of me is trying to get his side, because most people won’t stick around at all when a child is being this way. He agreed to take some time so we can refocus and get things right. Just trying to control my emotions and “sit on my hands” and not say anything I’ll regret. I appreciate these videos. They are helping me not ruin things between us.

When a man talks marriage within the first few months of dating you, you let it go into one ear and out the other, he is just talking. After the first few months together, you can start to listen and see his intentions. And the ''hot body'' line, again, he was just talking. 99% men have no clue what they're doing when they don't know you yet! My past relationships were mostly from dating apps and they were all crappy partners. Please stay away from dating apps, especially in today's dating climate.
