YES you need to win a gift to make PAYMENTS Just got a very Low mileage 2021 3500 Z-7-. HD Chevy Pickup. (12000 miles) my payments are over $1000 a month. Had to have that Duramax Allison combination. Saw at Con- Expo Con- Agg in Las Vegas a few years back. The Allison booth had a heavy duty Allison all apart for show purpose. What a built workhorse of a Transmission.The Allison has been used for many years in Garage/ Fire Rigs ( heavy stop and go workouts) That was my Dream owning that Transmission. I have always been a Ford guy. But Ford Salesmen were just plan Jerks. Would NOT even talk to me unless I gave them MONEY to be on the wait list. Wouldn't even talk about his used low mileage Pickups unless I gave them money. The Dodge and Chevy Dealers took my 2000 Ford ( 64000 miles) all my mileage service has always been done by Dealer,Recorded in service Logs. Not even a test drive or gave me trade in value. This is the BIG one both different brand makers of Trucks. Did NOT expect me to buy their trucks. They both did a computer search of what they had in LOW mileage New Truck, NO expecting me to BUY that Day. I like the Cummins Diesel also.

Ford: Removing the torsen front diff was a mistake. Brake based traction control systems suck because: 1. It can easily be overwhelmed in high traction demand situations, such as when one wheel is off the ground, 2. It can overheat the brakes, 3. It requires the brakes to be in good working order (older brakes will not work as well), 4. It's often slow to react.

So the limiting factor to why they chose not to use a V8 before is the ‘suspension?’ Methinks not.
@TheAnnoyingBoss2 жыл бұрын
I know why. The V6 is lighter weight and better for the trails. They knew everyone wanted the V8 but they were holding back to build up the momentum. Deep down we all knew it was coming back. It just took the right time. They were totally developing it the entire time they just had to wait for talltbe trx owners to buy their trucks ad then want a new truck after a couple years, boom they drop it, perfect timing. It's a beast

Really, it seems to me the nose heavy TRX that likes to dolphin dive after jumps really shows that suspension and weight is a big factor, which isn't suppose to be a surprise considering these are suppose to be dessert running and baja racing trucks, basically a trophy truck for the road. I honestly don’t blame anyone for not wanting to off-road such an expensive truck. Not many people have an expendable income that allows them to drive the truck like it’s intended to be driven
@BlueDually4x42 жыл бұрын
@@blakew5672 I think that applies to most performance vehicles. Although at least with the Raptor and the TRX you can comfortable do the speed limit on our shitty roads and not worry about tearing the oil pan off like nearly any performance car.
@blakew56722 жыл бұрын
@@BlueDually4x4 Not a bad point. I love all specialty vehicles, but personally I’d get more use out of a sports car than I would the truck, depends on what part of the country you’re in though. We don’t have access to public land, blm land, etc in the east like they do out west, so apart from owning the land or finding someone okay with it, it’s not as easy to off-road as it is to find low traffic public roads or even drag race. Personally I’d love a manufacturer to cut corners on the “luxury” side of the trucks and bring the price down to something more inline with a vehicle that was made to get roughed up. That’s a criticism I have of most trucks in general though. Trucks were always meant to be purpose driven, work oriented vehicles blue collar workers could afford, not $70K+ leather-wrapped luxury mobiles for errand running.
@BlueDually4x42 жыл бұрын
@@blakew5672 Having been out east, I completely understand. And I agree it would be nice if trucks were less luxury sedan and more truck.

Are we not going to talk about options Ford is deleting on ALL F150s including the R? At least have a retrofit service down the line to push stuff out faster or give folks the option to wait. Simply deleting options and throwing you 100 bucks like it costs that to add that back in is poor customer service.
@KaiDragon2 жыл бұрын
Ford was very proud of their V6 twin turbo in the Raptor until customers were trading in their v6 Raptors for a TRX v8. Ford basically took the biggest V8 engine they had in factory put a Supercharger on it and still couldn't match the RAM TRX in power. But Ford has the most powerful diesel engine.
@CurtisDishman2 жыл бұрын
Biggest V8 while maintaining the purpose of the Raptor…..Allegedly….. The TRX is absolutely awesome and probably fits most people in the performance truck market a bit better. But the raptor’s a much better truck for the off-road market it’s directed towards. Not saying the TRX isn’t great off road just not the Raptor’s level, and same with the Raptor, not as good on road for a performance vehicle as the TRX. I would have loved to see them slap their actual largest factory V8, then slap a Supercharger on it. Godzilla baby!!!
@KaiDragon2 жыл бұрын
@@CurtisDishman A supercharged Godzilla v8 in the Raptor R would have been the perfect fit and true a balanced truck is a reliable truck. However, it all comes down to the customer's preference because Hennessey could take the Raptor R pass TRX's horsepower.
