I actually had a candidate create a "job plan" and present it during his interview last week and I was really impressed by his thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. It definitely made him stand out and I'm actually leaning towards offering him the job! :)

In my third interview I presented this plan when the hiring manager expressed that they are struggling to decide between me and another candidate. They were so impressed and I got the job. Thank you! your other interview tips also helped.

I aced both. interviews but when I came upon this amazing video, I clicked on it to watch just out of curiosity and I am GLAD I did because I expect to go to more interviews. Hey Don, I basically never comment on KZbin but I really wanted to thank you. I watched a lot of your videos, but this one in particular I think helped me land a really great opportunity. The interviewers opened my second interview with "what do you envision for this role?" and I was able to relay my plan to them with no hesitation. They were super impressed and loved my initiative. Thanks again for making these resources - they are SO good!!

Thank you. I always think it's good to be prepared. I'm comfortable with giving recommendations and advising them. I had a second interview and reviewed all the companies reports. I may have over did it. I reviewed a document for my interview tomorrow and while it's online I'll still present what I did and see their thoughts. Exactly. I think viewing it as a consultant helps. This mindset works best for me and my brain. I have a hard time with preparing for unknown questions.

Thank you. i have an interview for a Director position within my company this week. I've been taking notes and this is incredibly helpful. I watched your other interview "interviewing internally." I'm only up against those that are external candidates. I'm missing some experience on some of the qualifications so working on my wording how to address that.

Don, I noticed you give great ideas but it always seemed t be tailored to a some sort of business, company. How about those governmental jobs? Police, fire, federal? Those seem to be different and you really don’t have any room to negotiate for anything. Any suggestions for those kind of interviews?

Most jobs just want to find people who can do the jobs with the Right mentality for that particular job. A firefighter has to be impulsive. A cop has to make solid judgments in an instance.

Hi Don, Thank you for your wonderful videos. I think planning for next job interview is a great advantage for an individual with work experience. On the other hand, what can an entry-level job seeker "like me" do to have a similar advantage since the company for sure has more experience than me?

The goal of thinking is thought, to produce a paradigm that solves real-life problems in the natural world. The worst problems are human-made. Understanding the human being or human nature is crucial to survival in a world where few think, most emote. To succeed in life one must know and understand games. Humans are addicted to games. Some are slaves or shills. Few can lead. When wise appear dumb.

Don, what if your next scheduled job interview happens to be with a manager that you have previously worked with years ago (unfortunately), I was one of his indirect report employee then but I didn’t quite established good rapport with him due to his lack of interpersonal skills in the office. Now, this position that I’m applying for will be reporting to him. Should I even bother going?
