I am not looking for a job, but am now on the other side doing the interview. This has been very enlightening. I view the candidates more critically as well as more compassionately. I try to look past the nervousness and look at the answers. I also try to re-ask a question if the initial answer did not give me the info I was looking for. If they don’t pick up on that, well….. Thanks Don.

Something that has always helped me with “Nerves” was to keep in mind that the person I was interviewing with would soon be at the very least an Associate perhaps a Friend…

Can’t emphasize tip #2 enough. You gotta analyze that sucker and deconstruct it. So many see the job description as just that but there is so much insight in there that will help you with the whole job application process

Don, your two interviews in one day tip is bang on. It actually worked for me years ago, precisely for the reasons you explained. Felt way more confident by the time of second interview and breezed through it and actually ended up and accepting the job offer. Excellent tip.

Great content. I have a question, regarding the second tip, 'Read the job descriptions'. What if, I'm a fresh grad and didn't have all of what it takes as listed in the job description, but I am willing to learn for it. Can you share some tips on that for the interview? Because practically I may not competent for that position but there's always the first try for everything. So now I want to convince them about that? Hope you could help me with these.

Tip 1) So, don´t try to fake answers just by memorizing them. Just learn to fake even more by acting them as well!

why do you feel the need to fake an employer? Someone you want to pay you a wage? It's no wonder you're unemployed. I encourage you to be genuine.

Hi Don, love your videos but may i ask, how do you address the human factor in interviews especially when the person who is interviewing you does not have a clue about your role, the complex nature of the role and once you start to explain complex technical solutions, you loose them by the second word?
@DonGeorgevich4 жыл бұрын
If someone is interviewing you who has no idea what the role Is about, then it’s your job to adapt and talk to them on their level. If you insult them then you’re probably not going to go any farther in

Hi, thanks for your videos, I really appreciate your work. I have a question: I did the last job interview on site in Switzerland just before coronavirus, they said that they will answer me after two or three weeks " they just wait to see another candidate, we were two at the end" now two weeks and a half left, I don't know if I send them an email or should I wait, regarding to the situation in Switzerland with coronavirus is little bit complicated in the country... I don't want to seem selfish and ask for my job when people around them are dying... at the same time I want to know how will they react with the current situation... ? Thanks if you answer me as soon as possible.
