Like everything, consistency is the most. Choose the protein you'll eat for sure. I eat colagen or casein, without any flavor because I can mix them with cofee, soup, milk, green juices or anything. Casein have no flavor at all and colagen only very slight flavor. Colagen isn't a complete protein, lacking amino acid and casein isn't the best, but you can use them in conjunction with BCAAs, or with other protein source like milk with added protein (soy or whey), yogurth with added protein, etc. I tried whey isolate (concentrate gave me problems, because lactose) but casein and colagen are cheaper, mix better and lack flavor. The isolate is pricier and don't mix well.

Are you sure PictureFit, 1.6 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight is the actual recommendation? Or is it 1.6 gram of protein per kg of lean body mass? I mean would the protein amount for 100 kg guy who has higher fat percentage be same as the other guy who also weighs same but has higher muscle mass and low fat??? And is 1.6 gram applicable for general audience or it also applies to Power Lifters, Athletes, IFBB Pro Bodybuilders etc?

from 1.2 to 2 per kg of body weight for the average person that does proper exercise will increase your muscles if you are overweight you can eat less 1.6 is a good balance but if you train hard. if you are very overweight you can go lower to 1.2 or 1 especially if you also want to loose weight while maintaining or growing muscle

1.6 is the rough per kg total mass. If you are overweight, the easy way to calculate is to aim to calculate your intake off of your target weight. In the end, it doesn't really make that much difference if you undershoot it; so long as you are eating more than maintenance (which isn't very much) you are going to gain, it's just a matter of how fast you gain. Whenever fitfluenzers talk about protein targets, people lose sight of the fact that we are talking about the most ideal and optimal conditions, which nobody does because of time and injuries.

Total body mass when one doesn't have lots of excess body fat. If one does have large amounts of excess body fat basing protein on lean body mass or target total weight works with the 1.6g/kg goal. But generally the ISSN recommended range is 1.4-2.0g/kg for active people.

Is supplements even worth it if you most likely are not hitting eating goals?I eat 1-2 a day and I workout 5-6 days. But very minimal gains. Force feeding is really hard for me but I do try. I do not count protein or calories. I just eat a basic protein veggie and carb meal.

If you actually want to build muscle, you need to know if you're hitting your daily protein goals. Also, if you're skinny, it would be highly beneficial if you're on calorie surplus , at least 200-500 over your BMR.

Try counting your proteins for a while and see if you are hitting your daily protein goals. (Between 1.6-2g per kg or 0.7-1g per lbs of your bodyweight) If you arent reaching it, you can consider adjusting your diet or getting a supplement.

Liquids tend to be less filling. So if you struggle to even get to a mild caloric surplus, which you need to gain weight, try adding a “meal replacement” drink (such as ensure) in between your regular meals or 1/2 hour or so before you go to bed.

I'd say don't count, but for at least 2-5 days count and see how much protein you're eating, but don't change anything till you finish. If you notice that youre not getting enough, think about what you can change to get more protein, don't conplicate things, but measure at least once

It's just a matodextrin powder with protein in it. It's a fine product to use if your goal is to increase weight quickly. It's similar to boost very high calories (except boost uses glucose instead), but it's not really a protein supplement. It's not as useful if your goal is putting on muscle mass. You'd be far better off with a true protein shake and eat a little more real food.

Premade shakes are the best imo. Muscle Milk, Premier, Lean Body, Quest... you just buy it cold and drink up. Perfect for folks on the go or for getting in extra protein throughout the day as a snack. It's too easy not to go after, at least for me.

Filtered milk, watch that category. Fairlife Core is 40g of protein and only just over 200 calories for something like $4. That's insane, you could cover a huge chunk of your daily needs, and it's good quality protein because it's just concentrated low-lactose milk.

That's close to my target. It's not impossible, I don't even use powders, but you do have to add extra meat portions to lunch and dinner. Also, lots of milk and Greek yogurt. Protein powder is just a convenience; if you don't go crazy that last bit of 24gh protein from a shake will probably already top up a normal day.
