Pro: I do like the safety lane which is a good thing from Acura.Con: The advantage for safety lane could cause driver to focus on texting with using a phone instead of keeping an eye on the road which could be dangerous.

Since you already reviewed the 2015 MDX, it would have been great if you had really focused on the really notable changes on this 2016 MDX, namely, the new 9-speed automatic transmission and how it feels, compared to the 6-speed in the 2015. The new ZF 9-speed has been giving fits to the TLX, as well as the Jeep and Chrysler vehicles that also use it. Many people point out that the dog clutches in the 9-speed affect the driving dynamics of the vehicles since downshifting seem to provide a rather unrefined sensation. Also, the SH-AWD is completely new, yet there wasn't really any mention of it, aside from its name. Reviewers like yourself have this unique opportunity to do a comparison on these important changes, but it seems that the focus is on the general overview of the vehicle, which is fine for a really new vehicle, but for MMC vehicles with quite a bit of mechanical, under-the-skin changes, it would have been awesome if those changes were highlighted and evaluated.

i like the review and i like the car more. i hope you can make comparison between Acura MDX SH-AWD and Subaru OUTBACK 3.6R AWD.. which one is good on slippery road. i know the difference in price is huge but if the subaru has all i need i'll go with it..

The feature to talk to the car is the worse thing about this car. I also had to take it back 3 times already because the weird noise I get when turning.

Start Stop also shuts off the AC Compressor. It is annoying in City driving & especially stop & go traffic.

I can't imagine this feature gaining popularity in the southern States. It's hard enough to keep the car cool with the A/C on all the time as it is. Sweating at a stop light, plus waiting for the car to cool off again is unacceptable.

Richard R I have an Audi A6 and it has the start/stop feature. It will only turn off if the compressor is not running when you come to a stop. It doesn't turn off EVERY TIME you stop the car. At least that's how it works on my Audi. I leave mine on, except in stop n go traffic, and I don't even notice it anymore.

Better than what I thought, but it's a feature that would only work twice a year in South Florida. The cold days are the only times when my compressor takes a break and we only have a couple a year. So if my engine isn't shutting down because my compressor is on, then I'm not getting a benefit
