Phoenix used to use pink ( not sure if they still do) for much the same reason- easy to see, and the prisoners don't like it.

Most Australian states have their prisoners wear green T-shirts, shorts, & track-suits, which don't look very appealing because like pink, the colour gradually fades in the wash! While green prison-garb isn't popular as a fashion-statement on the street, it'll probably be good camouflage in the bush!

I dont know how oramge jumpsuits are dehumanizing for people in prison but not the iconic stripes people are in prison because they were in the wrong or just wrong place at the wrong time im not saying the should be dehumanized not at all but its a reninder of what you lost your freedom and individuality
