I love the shrike! Outside our office we’d get about 2 dozen sparrows that would migrate in for the winter. Our local shrike soon learned to drive them into the large office windows and stun them. The shrike would land and snap their neck. And with great difficulty fly off and sun dry them on a cholla thorn or barb wire. In a week a single shrike would wipe out all the sparrows. And the shrike would have a food supply for the winter.

Those sharp objects killing early humans? After revisiting the bodies with newer, cooler science, scientists came to the conclusion that it was mostly sharp teeth, and the apparent most dangerous thingy around back then were animal predators, not humans. We have been much more peaceful than we thought for the last few decades. Also: Not moving and fainting gets you the same outcome, so one not developing from the other cant be made as a case as you did, especially since you contradicted yourself later on. Otherwise its a good video as always^^
@ryobaaishi99682 жыл бұрын
I can understand; but sometimes( well, alot, really, but not enough to cause fainting) humans would fight for females, shelter,food,etc. Like some animals in a way, we do play dead. It's like having a mini war but non-tech or no guns with arrows, spears, etc.
@MannIchFindKeinName2 жыл бұрын
@@ryobaaishi9968 Ofcourse we fight. But how often did you see someone get killed over who's girlfriend someone is? Exactly, never unless its the news. Seeing every "conflict" (i think even this is a strong word) as a war is possible, but not encouraged, as it relativizes the true scale of actual wars and other physical conflicts.

@@MannIchFindKeinName I was talking waaaaayyyyy back when they DID fight for females to pass down their own genes and have more offspring. I don't think internet was invented when cavemen were still around. Just saying. And humans were not in the billions yet so no "large" scale wars were possible
