My favorite champ turned into and e-boy (thresh) and the name of the Ruined king was fucked because riot decided instead of keeping the old lore and giving us an old and actual ruined king, they gave us an e-boy simping for his wife. I was waiting for years for the ruined king to come and they ruined both, thresh and the image of the ruined king into the lore.

Thing is, this is supposed to be the League of ‘LEGENDS’. Riots constant push for new champs has ruined integrity of champion design. The champs should be incredible monstrosities like Reksai, and the humanoid champs must be individuals of insane ability and skill. Not just, guy with gun, girl with bow. The freliord champs get this right, since you have to be great just to survive up there. Seraphine is everything wrong with the direction of lol champ design, obviously pushed by their 10cent overlords.

I expected something like this: Final Battle between Sentinels and Viego. Suddenly, something appeared from the death realm. Battle stops and we can see that it’s Mordekaiser. Viego says something like: “and who the hell are you”. Then he’s sent flying by hit of Morde mace. Sentinels then realise that Viego was just the beginning and they can’t win, at least now.

Totally agree with this although I haven't been playing nearly as long. Riot ignoring established characters whose whole identities are centred on the Shadow Isles in exchange for new ones who are more conventionally appealing when the Shadow Isles isn't meant to be a place that has any positive emotion save maybe seeing someone who died again is a joke. Viego's design is also a huge letdown, whether or not he was meant to be a king is irrelevant, it's absurd that he's wearing tight pants and a leather jacket.

To be fair, the Summoner lore was kinda doodoo but it could have been fixed. There was a bit of lore there in the Rune War with the Marauders and Wardens. I mean the concept of Jax alone was amazing. I have been fucking waiting for YEARS for the Void storyline to go anywhere. Do a rework like Kayle and Morgana with Kassadin and Malzahar. Where they both get lore and design updates with one maybe getting a gameplay update and then go crazy with a Void invasion. Also just give us more on the Darkin they were kinda important for fighting the Void or at least Aatrox was if I'm remembering correctly.

I think a really cool way of implementing the story of the ruined King into this ruination would have been to use the resurrection of mordekaiser as a character to challenge viego and now the Sentinels are faced with an even greater challenge of fighting the undead emperor.

I think a lot of people don't like that recent champion designs are all about appealing to others so that riot can sell more stuff and especially the redesign of thresh is very much insulting to the charakter since he isn't in the slightest interested in looking good he just wants others to suffer. It's pretty sad. The opinions of those of us who were excited for the characters, the lore, the story of this entire arc don't seem to matter. In the end, Riot pumped out new skins and event passes, made money and that's all they care about and will focus on. If they truly even care about everything they messed up on or let fans down over, they'll make necessary changes. But unless it makes them money, I don't see that happening. I get, they're a company and they need to make money but that excuse only goes so far. They can make money and still deliver when it comes to story writing and world building. I can't remember the last time I actually put money into LoL but at this rate, I have no desire to do so. Skins can be nice but they aren't the only thing I care about.

I don’t mind when they add goofy champs, but Akshan actively hurts the lore, his gun is so powerful it just overrides everything Veigo did, I don’t get the point of bringing him out other then a way to write the resolving conflicts, same with Gwen, she didn’t even talk. But this dolls mist is just as strong as Viego’s? What about the video game? Is that canon? Riot had amazing writers, this is the only time I think they made a serious blunder story telling wise.

I hate Viego for his incel simping bs, but it is his whole character and Riot couldn't really change that after releasing him, I get that. But the ending was just so god awful.. What I hate most is the fact that Isolde was still nice to him even after everything he did. Like for gods sake Riot, the woman STABBED HIM! Why not make her afraid of the man?! Make her go mad over the fact that this obsessed crybaby forced her back from the grave because he can't let go! Make him realise he's an egotistical asshole that doesn't deserve love! Make him sudoku himself and have Thresh absorb him or something, sealing his transformation to human Thresh, now able to control the black mist. That would be a much better lead into Thresh now being the awesome villain he is.
