For those looking for these cars: The 2004-05 Model Year Manual Transmission models came with all of the goodies from the Type S (Stiffer suspension, Brembo Brakes, Limited-slip differential) minus the 3.5 liter engine. I have a 2005 myself and it is a joy to drive!

Auto-Motive, there just were not that many of the MTs built. The 5AT is strong, but lacking that 6th gear is a big deal when you’re not making that much torque (stock). Plus the AT shifts relatively slowly. There’s ~ 13% loss in efficiency through the torque converter compared to the MT. This is why the stock 3.2L (J32A3) base model 5 speed AT runs ~ 6.3 / 6.4 sec 0-60, whereas the 6 speed MT runs ~ 5.7 - 5.9 sec.

james szumiloski Look at all these thousands of junky’s that liked this video! What losers! Acura is such crap, right? Are they even capable of building, in your words, “a real car”? Man, you know what else they probably can’t build? JETS, or maybe motorcycles. Being the worlds biggest manufacturer of motorcycles most likely doesn’t mean anything, as you probably already know. I’m sure you’ve accomplished way more than Honda, clearly... Boy, if only everyone could see that only BMW, Audi, or Mercedes Benz can build, again in your words, “a real car”, no one would be blinded by Honda’s proven engineering, on and off the race track. Cheers

A unique yet tasteful build with enough power to back it up, well done. Although I have some tiny notes to add, first off super small but the iVtec decal isn't technically correct. The J32 and J35 used true cam profile shift rather than the vvt based iVtec. Also, the J series motors are all SOHC not DOHC like the K series motors, in fact the only production DOHC V6 honda has ever built have been in the NSX. Also, given the history of Honda/Acura's transmission reliability over the years specifically the ones mounted to the V6s I would be wary of pumping that much torque through the stock transmission. I personally own a 03 TL and I am happy enough that she is still running with 268K on the clock but the transmission is definitely the weakest link.

Well damn good for you, obviously the transmission is a ticking time bomb but it does look like you actually put money into making the thing go fast and sound great instead of an obnoxious spoiler and body kit like most honda guys do.

The Honda J32 and J35 engines are pretty insane for a super average V6. The Bisimoto 1000 HP Odyssey still used the J35 that came from the factory albeit heavily modified
