The key is to get the timing right. The strumming pattern doesn't really matter. You can implement any strum pattern that suits. The original strum pattern comes automatically overtime.

+김영기 Hi, comments come in like this all the time so I think I'll do a video on this very subject sometime soon. If a song is really difficult for you and it takes months to learn it, then the song is out of your reach at the moment. You should continue to learn basic chords and stick with songs that are easier to learn and then come back to this one. That way you won't be discouraged with your guitar playing. When I made this video I learned this song in less than an hour and then began teaching it. Since I have made this video I have found out that there is an easier way to play this song so I have contemplated remaking . I'm not sure that there is a lot of interest in it. I know YOU would be interested but to take 10 hours to make a video is not really business smart of me to do that at this time. Hello, I can understand how you are feeling about this. You do have the tabs on the screen to help, and you can slow down the video to see what I'm doing. After I made this video I realized that there was another way to play this song. (Maybe I should make that video too?)

When I first started listening I thought, excellent, and he's using the capo so it sounds right. Then, you pulled the capo off...It always helps to learn a song in the key you are used to hearing it in. I'll have to put this one on the back burner.

Hi Kevin, unless you know how to incorporate the 7th string in your playing without instruction, then just ignore the 7th string and play it like a 6 string. Does this help?

+mekelek B at 1:56 we give you a great shot of the picking and you can see both hands. I'm playing slower than the recording. That's the real questions isn't it? How fast should we shoot this? If it's too slow it looses the good players. If it's too fast then the beginners are completely lost so we have to decide what to teach and how to teach it. Hey Logan, 0h3 means that you play the string Open first, that's what the 0 is, then you hammer-on the 3rd fret. You can see me do this at 1:33 into the video. I do this on the A string with my 3rd finger. Thanks for watching and asking questions! Hal

After I made this video I found another way to play this song that I also like. This is just one way to do it.
