Heritage Tram Ride - Adelaide, South Australia

Heritage tram, H 351 returned to the rails of Adelaide. Running on Sundays only for August. Hopefully this will continue to run over the whole weekend & not just Sundays. I joined the tram at Adelaide Entertainment Centre & traveled to Glenelg & return to Rundle Mall stop. Great to remember just what it was like to ride to Glenelg on a H type tram again

I drove H type Trams from 1989 to 1993. We had a Restaurant Tram during that time. I loved driving that, most drivers hated it because it was more difficult due to the extra weight

A conductor who needs two hands to handle a single ticket block. A motorman who wear a baseball cap. Sir William would have had him out of their so fast his feet would not touch the ground. And putting the brake on and off constantly, doesn't he know how to use it.

I didn't wear the hat until we got the Akubra style hats. I'll never wear a Baseball Cap

Big mistake I made was refusing the old hat, the hat badges are worth good money and the only thing people want. I have two sets of number badges and no one wants them. I did get a set of signs from the inside of a H Tram before it was sent off to be refurbished because they came back without them. I have a Key and I had a Brake Handle but I had to return that because they didn't have any spare after I took it
