I love that you used all the parts of the mirror, so clever. I have a light above my bed and a bedside shelf both fixed to the wall with Command strips. They have both stayed put for 3 years now. My advice is always to weigh whatever you are fixing and add an extra strip if you are interacting with the item in any way. My shelf is just a chopping board screwed to two wooden Ikea shelf brackets and I weighed them, plus what I knew I wanted on there: pillow spray, a full glass of water, mobile phone and trinket tray. Hasn't budged an inch!

Wonderful Hermione, I really love the mobile it gives off such a sparkly vibe and I bet when it catches the light it is amazing. I love when you do these Ikea hacks they are always so much fun and give me so many ideas for my own space, I know when I finally get my sun room that so many of the DIYs that I have been watching will become part of that space and then I will really be happy. Oh if you wet the crease of the rug before you iron it, they'll flatten out much more! I looooooooove that you used every leftover part! Nothing went to waste and everything you made was fab!!!

You need to spritz fabric with water then iron with the crease up. That should help get rid of the crease.

Love your videos! Very inspiring to me as an interior stylist myself! Lovely ideas as always! Personally I would spray the bulb holders matte black, so it matches the leather of the headboard :).

@@HermioneChantal Oh, good thinking! There must be a a paint that can handle friction well. Like a paint that is suitable for doorhandles etc (keys and rings on your hand shouldn't be able to scratch of the paint of a black doorhandles). Just thinking out loud:)

I love the pillow head board. Such a great idea. You could also do this for alcoves and window seats. I don't need these as yet but I will be buying some inexpensive rugs and pillows that have seen better days to put on my settee. The lamp idea was great too.

Just a suggestion for the duy headboard. Instead of folding over and making 2 pillows/back rests from the rug use it lengthwise and make 1 large log pillow so it is more headboard-y and there arent any gaps. Loved everything as usual. All your diys make me want to redo mt whole house 😶

For that first one, I have some great vintage belts with ornate brass buckles I think might work instead of the foe leather straps and I'm thinking that the padded part could be filled up by my actual spare pillows with the ability to take them in and out, meaning I'd also be creating storage. I'm very excited to try this! I also love the mobile, such a great video thank you. I'm a new subscriber by the way.
