Hermitcraft 10: A New Season! (Episode 1)

Hermitcraft Season 10 has begun! What is Hermitcraft? Hermitcraft is a vanilla+ Minecraft server full of unique KZbinrs and streamers. On Hermitcraft we build incredible structures, intricate mechanisms, and share our experiences with viewers.
In Hermitcraft Season ten, we are playing on Minecraft version 1.20.4 BUT with many of the new Minecraft 1.21 blocks included via datapack including the Crafter, Copper Blocks, and Tuff variants! The seed for this season is: 5103687417315433447 which we chose because of the many flat-ish plains biomes in the vicinity of the spawn. We also have many of the datapacks from previous seasons.
With season 10 of Hermitcraft now underway we have a lot to do! Let's get started!

I can’t remember which hermit it was, but I do remember that they were doing a timelapse of a build, but their recording got corrupted, so they tore the whole build down and rebuilt it again for the camera.

Well according to Quora, stone refers to aggregates of minerals and/particles, usually with distinct chemical composition. Sand refers to particles than range from 0.0625mm - 2mm and aggregate of sand. Therefore sand is a stone, and Cub was 100% allowed to the glass as it came from sand. I rest my case.

So, according to Globmac and the official Coronado Stone Company, grass is a structural element ensuring that the ground becomes hard, isolated from erosion and covered with a strong armor in areas with maximum environmental sensitivity, grass fits under the same description that CSC recongizes for stone, therefore... Cub who used grass in his build is 100% still following the guidelines of using only wood and stone. I rest my case (again)

I was really surprised to see AutoCrafters in your first episode. Its amazing how you used this episode as an introduction to their use and your adorable starter house. I do have a question though, what would you call someone who gets paid not to kill people? A Reverse bounty hunter? Death Paused by Diamonds? I also love that you, Bdubs and Etho are horse girls together so quickly. Diamond sword for a saddle, best trade ever!

Cub, something the community has figured out is that You, Tango, Etho, and Pearl are surrounding the lake infront of your house, and you are all iconic figures of decked out 2. Please give the lake a name related to decked out. My current best idea is something like "Willy's pond" or "The lake of souls".

Build idea. Build a crafter based "recovery" store at spawn. It autocrafts the wood and iron for basic iron tools and armor. You could make it from an auto bamboo farm to make the sticks and an iron farm.

Since you said you wanted to lean heavily into automation this time around, it would be doubly hilarious to see you still live in such a humble and sweet little house, but everything surrounding it or underneath it are automatons and gigantic contraptions. The house itself is decked out with all sorts of inputs and outputs, but the interior is still as sweet as can be. The juxtaposition would be *amazing*

The torch machine is just wildly expensive for Episode One but I love it to bits. It's neat to have a method for autocrafting but that you really have to want it, it doesn't just happen. :D Can't wait to see your next episode, I want your perspective on the whole thing with Scar!

Hi, new follower here. Big fan of the series overall. Gotta say, you should def monopolize a trading system for your torches. Like, blocks for torches or something lol, I feel like lots of folks are gonna need them asap.

Cub I recommend deactivating some of those traps you made especially if they are close to any chests. I know that you did not expect any of scars stuff to get destroyed but leaving any traps around like you said in scars video could be bad… I feel like leaving traps similar to these around could really demotivate people, I recommend finding different ways to demise players I wish all the hermits a great season and hope you make it up to scar!

when I was a mod on a server about 8 years ago, one of the few things I would always /give myself was torches. i cannot explain why I find crafting them so annoying but I do. so cub's mission makes complete sense to me!

Continuing my trend of giving hermits horses a breed assignment based on vibes: yeah, Cub’s absolutely got a Lipizzaner. He’s absolutely got the expertise to handle one, they’re a massive handful to raise, break, and train (I say as someone who’s worked with them for years), but what INCREDIBLE horses you get as a result. If any hermit was able to not just manage but truly partner with a Lipizzaner, it would be Cub.

Idea, you can blow up other player’s resources and grief, under the condition that you help them grind back the lost resources together. That way, instead of feeling like lost progress, it feels like an opportunity to collaborate. It keeps the damage scale under control, gives hermits the opportunity to influence and reimagine builds together AND gives the audience more vod content to eat up

I did the math on your torch machine. 18 logs to 18 charcoal. 3 logs to 12 planks for fuel, enough to smelt 18 logs. But 3 logs to 24 sticks. With 18 charcoal and 24 sticks, aren't you going to overflow on sticks at some point?

Cubfan! I like your charcoal making operation... mostly. But once you have your first charcoal... WHY ARE YOU STILL SMELTING WITH PLANKS??? You should be using some of the charcoal for that! It's much more efficient!

Great idea for a first crafter usage! For the season it would be great to see an interconnected base like with ConCorp (that must have been one of my favorite bases over all), but using crafters everywhere.
