A few notes: -personally I'm a big fan of the jazzy building timelapses. It's really fun to see the progress happen instead of just using jumpcuts. -If you build bridges, you may want to ensure that at least one of them is a lift/draw bridge so that your boat could (theoretically at least) get out of the river if it was launched.

Tridents with riptide are good to get on top of big trees too. I’ve got a small mod installed that allows you to craft them by killing elder guardians, which makes it slightly easier to get

Keralis! If you want wild bees, you should set up a bee breeder. If you use a fence above it instead of a normal block, all the baby bees will fly out and be wild, and you can just breed the 6 or 12 you keep in the cell whenever your wild bee population isn't going well. Also, you can do like different color wool cells for additional useful tiki-torch mini farms. Requires slightly more infrastructure for the grass to regrow, like the dispenser for the shears, and a minecart hopper under the grass block that the sheep is on.

If you keep the hopper minecart mostly broken, you can avoid a lot of lag. Send it in a loop where it breaks at the end, dropping itself and all it's goodies, and place it again at the other side of the loop with a dispenser. They don't break into pieces anymore, so you can reuse the same hopper minecart

18:50 I used allays for a wheat farm in my world. It's really efficient if you want to make really big wheat farms. The noteblocks do make a lot of noise, but you can always turn that sound off. With the dynamic surroundings mod you can even mute specific noteblock sounds

@Keralis you can create ambient sounds by putting certain blocks or mobheads on noteblocks that is also how Ren's door system works. Hide some noteblocks with parrot heads on top of it in the ground and you have the bird sounds, same can be done with the bee's, dolphins etc.

Water streams under the villager farms! Less lag and less noise. You can look up a design where the farmer tries to share his food by throwing it towards another villager in the middle and it falls down into a water stream. I think ilmango made one a couple of versions ago, but you'll find a design I'm sure :)

#bees…. Unless they’ve fixed it, bees might be drowning because they try to pollenate water plants. Bee pathing also tends to make them get too far away from the nests/hives to path back. (It seems like they search to the extent of their “reach”, choosing farthest target first, then repeat, on a path not recently covered, which leads them away, and away again.) And, when you do create an enclosure for them, you have to make sure there’s no flowers, farms, or bushes near the building, because that same pathing can cause them to try for those outside plants, completely ignoring anything inside, breaking the farm. 🤷‍♀️ Just some, hopefully, helpful info, stopping some frustration. ❤

For wheat farms, the only way to really collect them is hopper minecarts. For transporting it you can always use water streams if you don't want to use a lot of hoppers.

Hi K! Love ur face and your base! For the item collection system, do you recall what Scar did in season 7 within his jungle magical base? Basically, you need two villager: 1st the one who farm the crops, and 2nd who receive crops thrown by the 1st. You need to trap the 2nd villager and place hopper underneath it to collect the crops. Hope that helps!

If you swap out the dripstone blocks in the decorative bits of the mud farm for the mud blocks themselves, they'll dry into clay blocks, so you can have a clay ball farm

Dude, Keralis, Impulse and Tango built a massively efficient iron farm, like iron blocks are their default build palette now, so I think you can make an easy deal, maybe eggs for iron blocks? Then you get your hoppers because yes you don't want that noise and lag from a minecart, just gloriously silent grain and vegetable collecting from your lovely farmers!

4:12 you dont have to use the chicken, if you want the rope to be tied on the fence. You can use an axolotl, tie him up to the fence, and then pick him up with a bucket of water. The rope should stay of the fence.

The style, aesthetic and detail of this starter base is perfect. If it were my starter, I would forsake the traditional megabase and continue to work on this cozy little resort town complete with a giant pig roast, a beachfront market area, some thatched roof hotels and bar areas, and tons of pools and nature gardens spread around the compound. This is in my top 3 bases this season if not my number 1

Regarding the Hopper minecarts, you could get the vanilla tweaks resourcepack to get the minecarts more quiet or completely shut them up, or just send it out on a 5 minute timer to have the noise only one in a while

doc used allays for a super easy pickup system! if you put a player head on the noteblock it's also silent (unless you want a head that makes some ambient sounds around your base that could be cool too)

a smart fix for the wheat farm: if you trap another villager in the wall, the farmer villager will throw its wheat at him. if you put a hopper minecart in front of the wall villager it will snoop the wheat away from him.

Big yes for jungle sounds! Last season Gem had the forest and beach sounds and they brought so much life!
