Hey Joe there's this makeup brand who make colorful foundations, so basically it's less cakey than a regular face paint. The name is Sunset Makeup, they sell each foundation tube for 13$ and they've got light blue. So if you really wanted to paint your skin blue for a convention that could be a good way!

I'm really thinking sand might be the whole thing this season. Like, see what happens to an economy when it's not based on diamonds but sand. Watch people go nuts for deserts and treat glass as a wasteful luxury. Have "save the sand" rallies when people realize the deserts are all being destroyed. Battles between the sand people and the Jawas. I have no idea yet who the Jawas are, but they'll think of something!

The Homestuck sharpie bath incident being referenced really threw me back in time. That sure was a time to be a hotel. I'm super interested to see how this shopping district plan goes. It seems like a great way to make sure the high demand items are almost always available, and the sharing of collective items means one poor soul isn't stuck stocking every single colour variant of a block and collecting dyes all day.

Getting a 3rd person rear shot of you talking gives the impression that your skin's tongue is more visible from the rear than the front when "talking". Also mix fast and slow mouth movements together, as an amateur puppeteer once guided me. Shoot for opening in sync with each syllable.
