true, but don't forget that youtube "promotes" bigger youtubers. the more subscribers and views you have, higher the chance you'll appear on the recommended list, the home page and the search page. It's great that this happens with Mumbo, but it is also what makes those stupid new trends (spinners, 1000 degrees glowing knife, "but every time they ____ it gets ____", etc.) show up everywhere. so it's a pretty terrible system in my opinion.

Mumbo, in the water near your base you should build underwater creatures for example whales sharks fish, ETC. just for decorating maybe you can add function to them but would look cool if you look out in the ocean & see some sea creatures EDIT: like so Mumbo can consider this! I have an amazing challenge. Make some of the basic circuits that you use all the time, but in pocket edition. Also make a t flip flop, a two by two flush piston door, and a flush piston trapdoor. Btw I love your channel and have gotten FAR better at redstone because of it.

this is the true story of mumbos bases hermitcraft 2: mumbo builds a base. hermitcraft 3: he's abducted by aliens and builds a scouting base to pick up info of the hermits hermitcraft 4: the aliens have enough info of the hermits and aubductvthe hermits, whilst getting materials for their home planet. hermitcraft 5: the aliens have made hermitcraft their proper home. Mumbo, Why are you using FRAPS? Just use shadowplay because it uses a TONNE less storage, I mean like 10 times less than FRAPS, no joke, not a hyperbole, like statistically 10 times less. The video is a little more blurry and watered down, but you can just up the saturation later and add a little bit of sharpness. Shadowplay comes with your NVidia drivers, so there's no point not in using them, or if you want, OBS is better than FRAPS in every way possible. Both shadowplay and OBS have a lesser impact on performance (A MUCH SMALLER IMPACT) compared to FRAPS. But since you have a GTX 1080 and play Minecraft on a 60Hz panel, it doesn't matter, but if you do experience lag with FRAPS, there you go. Just try shadowplay or OBS out, it won't disappoint you, and you won't need to worry about 250GB for 30-minutes time-lapses!

When you added the lever to be able to start the mechanism, I think it would have been better if you hooked up the redstone to 3 different dispensers that dropped the item into the hopper clock at each contraption thus creating an "on" exclusive switch. This way he couldn''t just turn it back off immediately.

I remember when you were at like episode 75 on hermitcraft s4 when I started watching. I grinded the whole s4 and caught up in like 2 1/2 weeks. What drew me in and kept me here today is that you are so genuine and so excited and you can tell you put your heart and soul into these videos. Mumbo, you should use a repeater clock. (Just make a circle of 4 repeaters and 4 redstone dust, place a redstone torch beside a piece of redstone dust, and instantly break it.) That way, you won't have to worry about any item duplication because it's just redstone; the story of your life!

Hey Mumbo, I know this series is over 4 years old but on the off chance no-one ever told you and you want to do more sponge work in the future, You can dry out sponges instantly by placing them down in the nether, No furnace waiting required and it sounds like you had to wait on the sponges to dry for a long time building this

Mumbo! I think you should just do work on the base that is repetitive, like clearing water or outlining the rest of the branches, off camera and give short progress updates at the beginning of each episode. I'm sure no one will mind!

You should of connected it the crazy redstone contraptions that duplicate items and then don't work to trip wire. So that when he comes through the trip wire, the contraptions switch on. But anyway the rest is so cool
