Mumbo, when you decide to clear out that insane mob-filled room, swim underneath it and replace some of the floor blocks with sea lanterns so it's fully lit up and then go 130 or so blocks away so that all the mobs despawn and you should have a nice peaceful room when you return. That is of course unless you want to go wild and swing your sword at the millions of monsters in there ;D. Like so the big man can see this.

Dragon Blaster No, the decorated thing that wraps around. Different zones for each type of item. He spent several episodes on it. It's for all of his other items. The walls of chests right next to the killing chamber are sorted output for the farm

So if I do the math correctly, a coal has a burning time of 1600 ticks so 1600 : 20 = 80 seconds and then a coal can burn 8 items so 80 : 8 = 10 seconds per item, and there is actually 22 of theses furnaces so it can produce 22 items per 10 seconds, 132 items/min and 7920 items/h and there is actually 2 modules so we double the result, and we obtain 15840 items burned per hour, it's 247,5 stacks of item burnt in only one hour! (thanks for the comment that there was 22 furnaces instead of 32 xD)

No, I've seen my dad do it. All you do is go to car recycling depot, put the furnace in your car (don't tell them there's a furnace inside), car turns into a cube, furnace as well. Now it can fir in your normal furnace at home after you take your car back after hours. Furnace was smelted!!

Mumbo don't build a mob farm in the sky again. Farms at the bedrock have better spawns, you already lit up the caves, it will be harder to access, and it will stick out and ruin the look!

Hecking Bamboozled the game checks for spawning conditions in a chunk from the bottom up. The passive mob farms and the new enderman farm are both built very low for this reason.

Advance493 it doesnt really matter if he does it very high or low, but high is a little better because otherwise he has to light up/fill up all of the little spaces between bedrock. in the sky there is no plase for mobs to spawn, exept for the farm. So higher is easier to build

Advance493 Actually, Advance is right xD. Just, generally, it's easier to build in the sky, and VIRTUALLY (not exactly) the same exact rates, unless you're like, filling up the mob cap and stuff.

Phil Dickleson How about a hopper minecart under an obsidian block that mumbo is standing on, so even If a creeper comes by, his stuff wil still be picked up. With being knocked away, he can surround himself in blocks where he can.

Mumbo, for the coal in the super furnace smelter, if you make it into coal blocks, it is more efficient, as 9 regular coal smelts 72 blocks, but one coal block smelts 80 blocks! An 8 block difference doesn't seem like much, but when you are smelting by the chestful it really adds up! :D

When you have a machine that produces faster than items can be transported, I've found that you can attach a total of 8 hoppers to a double chest and have each side attached to an area where items tend to pile up, so instead of having the line of hoppers under the furnaces facing the same way, you orient the hoppers so they funnel into 8 separate lines to feed into the 8 exposed sides of the double chest, which you collect from the bottom of. The best way to set this up is to have the farm/smelter above the output chest, makes it so you don't have to make any elevators. Hope this helps.

Mumbo, you need to do something about the interior corners of your base, where the ocean monument is. I mean... glass columns look decent, but it could look a lot better with something else. I understand the purpose is to hold back water to prevent your base from flooding, but it looks pretty boring at the minute!

Hook up a clock to the dispensers and you can make a falling stream of single water blocks, like tear drops. That way Bumbo Cactoni can cry, but will not form a spawnable area for guardians.

20:10. Make That Amn AFK Slime Farm!! If you won't light up the slime chunks that is. Simply replace the floor of that whole area outside the "storage tunnel" with magma blocks, place either a hopper minecart or a hopper chain below them all, (or maybe one each for each row to save on iron and time), and connect them directly to your slime storage center.

Beefercow Grian is a mostly creative mode player. (Unpopular opinion: I think Grian sounds like a pain to play with). Ilmango would feel lonely on this server and get tired of the lag. He's super active on scicraft, and might not have time for both. That's my guess.

You should put a bunch of sea lanterns kind of floating at different hights below the glass floors to subtly light those areas. Would look pretty nice I think, but would obviously require constructing and tearing down quite a few pillars :D

I have a redstone challenge for you mumbo. Try to build some of your favorite redstone contraptions on the windows 10 edition of Minecraft. I was messing around with the pocket edition and more advanced circuits just don't seem to work. Good luck

Devin, I hope he will, but I don't see this happening. I have found that some older redstone circuits will work on Win 10 instead of the current Java ones, like the Mono stable circuit using the piston/sand block. It is slightly larger but will work on the Win 10 version and usually can just be swapped in. I hope this will help you out.

The reason it doesnot work (im a win 10 player btw and also a redstoner) is bc the piston timings are messed up and also late plus no bud pistons and redstone is not that swell

So mumbo, I have been watching every single episode of hermitcraft you have released and boy am I happy about that! I was afk fishing on my private server and well, I died. An enderman teleported into my afk fishing room and walked right in front of me and I guess he got mad. I luckily took off all of my gear the day before. Now I just lost 60 levels. But then my friend came in to try and kill the enderman and his dad opened my door as all my dogs ran in and killed my friend. Luckily he didn't loose anything and I only lost a fishing rod and levels. If you didn't make hermitcraft videos I would be starting with no armor no sword, nothing. Thank you.

Have you ever thought about adding motion blur to your videos? It looks really good in timelapses and in normal use. I think it adds to render times but hey, what's that gonna add too your 1080?

Obsidian is like glass irl. It's not really that tough but can can be chipped off to create an ultra sharp edge. It can be used as an arrowhead, though it will break often.

The smelter can make 2.2 items per second. There are 22 furnaces, and each furnace makes an item every 10 seconds, therefore, once the machine starts, it's at a constant of 22 items every 10 seconds, so: 2.2 IPS 22 Items per 10 seconds 132 IPM 7920 IPH Unless I'm wrong, the formula I used is as follows (Which some of you may realize is very similar to calculate speed): Items/Time elapsed since start Where with 10 seconds (The amount of time it takes an item to smelt) yields 22 items, 1 for each furnace (Unless I miscounted the furnaces, in which the number changes).
