Today from the Hermitcraft Season 9 Server Cub creates several new museum areas including a new Rift area, additions to the 3rd story, and an impossible Conduit structure complete with free floating, gravity defying water! Then he makes some changes to the entrance, TFC area, a new charity area, and a simulator of Total Chaos! Finally, we complete gathering all the minerals with the help of ‪@iJevin‬.

Let's do some napkin math on that deepslate emerald ore. Since Minecraft is essentially 'infinite' for frequency of biomes, we only need to know how often emeralds appears inside the biomes where it does spawn. Emerald ore is supposed to 'attempt' to spawn 50 times per mountain chunk in Windswept Hills or any Mountain biome per the wiki from -16 to 320 in clusters of 1 (Java Edition). A spawn attempt can only replace deepslate or tuft to make deepslate emerald between -16 to 8. If the distribution were equal, you could easily calculate the frequency and chances for finding two. Only 7.142% of the layers (-16 to 8) out of the total (336) in a mountainous terrain could generate emerald deepslate. That gives a frequency of about 0.5 percent. But -16 to 8 is at the tail end of a VERY unequal distribution, so simple calculation is going to significantly over-estimate the frequency. Very significantly as I show bellow. From the data from dbm68 on the bug MC-215939 'Emerald ore spawns in lower frequencies than it should' for verion 21w08b. A block of Emerald is found in 0.000005% of all mine-able blocks. Compare with 0.004855% for coal, roughly half a percent of all mine-able blocks, the most common mountain ore. Minecraft terrains really is almost all air, dirt and stone. If we consider the distribution by using dbm68's data then we obtain 0.00000035710% for just one deepslate emerald ore. That is 3 out of nearly a million blocks. (At a half million blocks per mountain gives roughly 1 and a half emeralds per chunk matching dbm68's data. So that math checks out.) That is on the 10^-7 scientific scale. That's the dimension of space between atoms in the real world. iJeven didn't find a needle in a haystack. He found a specific mote of dust in a sunbeam. In a football stadium. During mid-day. With no clouds. Again, this 3-with-six-zeros over-estimates your chances. You still need to figure out the joint probability of finding two emeralds together. This number is going to be even more astronomically tiny even unless you found those ores on a chunk boundary. If anything, you underpaid him for something that - if legit - is frankly insanely rare. 3-in-a-million rare.

If i'm understanding correctly, this means 3 in a million blocks(including air) is deepslate emerald ore. That would mean 3 blocks in a 50x50 area is deepslate emerald ore(50x50x385). Doesn't seem so rare to me. ps i know im probably wrong about something so please correct me

Dear Cub, i have a possible addition to your beautiful museum. Look for a large fern (found only in Taiga villages i think) and put it next to the two tall grass. It's far more exclusive than the bottle o enchanting because you can also find them in ancient cities

Hey Cub, I want to point out 1 thing. In the last episode, you put a piglin brute head on the wall to compare it with a piglin head. You thought that the piglin head on the wall was a piglin brute head, so you didnt put the correct brute head on the wall. I think you may have to check it again because piglin head and brute head really look very similar (down to a few pixels difference).

You should add a replica of the huge goat (Gary it think was what it was called) that was made for Doc as part of his prank. You can display the signs for the hints, and maybe show a list of all the original items used before Doc finally got it right. Maybe make it interactive where visitors have to figure out what item it is to give a gift, but instead of it dropping tnt for a wrong answer maybe instead the player is shot with an arrow. Perhaps each time a winning item is finally discovered, change it out to be something new... this way its always something different even for returning visitors.

Cub, have you thought about having an Archive in the basement?? A lot of Museums have more Artifacts than they can physically display, so they have Archives with many artifacts in boxes and crates and such to store everything so that they can do remodels periodically to change up the displays. Something to think about. Basically a bunch of shelves with barrels and shulkers full of all your remaining artifacts.

The museum is looking wonderful, and as a Bedrocker I am jealous of that floating water trick. A few thoughts: I know the Empires section is pretty tightly packed, but omitting any reference to Grumbot seems like a big oversight. And for the Total Chaos simulator, which is as funny as it is deadly, I'd have expected to see a jack-o-lantern somewhere in the build.

by the way Cub, since you are running the museum, there is something interesting you could investigate and maybe find some artifacts: in the start of the season, BdoubleO build a giant gate somewhere in the hermitcraft server, it was supost to be found using bdubs tree hints, but I think he forgot or just abandon the project, no one in the server knows (I think) where the gate is (besides bdubs), and maybe you could find and make a map of the location, or take any ruins there to the museum (you can find the image of the gate in the thumb of the episode "Inside the Big Gate" or "Inside the Big Gate" of BdoubleO)

Love how the museum is almost complete now! Very cool Conduit Trick, I didn't know you could do that :P Can you make it so that the falling dripstone in the Simulator goes through lava as well? So that when you look up, you only see lava, and not directly the dripstone :) I think that would make it even more accurate :P

I still think you need to try to find the box of the world record you gave to the king, either put it in the king area OR the ore section. also, if you get all 3 crowns from Mumbo's button, you could put a book down for each crown and have any hermit that gets that crown either sign it themselves or if you see it on a video, you could put in the book for them.
