I want to see the two team up SO BAD. Doc has pointed out how annoying villagers are on multiple occasions, so I want him, Zed, and the Hivemind to figure out the most efficient way to collect zombie chicken jockeys so the Chicken-villagers can become potentially "practical". I'm imagining a farm that auto-spawns chickens, potentially name-tag them (I forget if you can apply a name tag with a dispenser or some other redstone), auto-spawn zombies at the highest rate possible within range of those chickens, and then filter out and store the jockeys all while AFK or using an auto-clicker. I *really* want to know what the theoretical peak spawn rates could be and what the expected time-to-chicken-villager could be pushed down to.

There’s a solution for the villagers. And the answer is the same as every other horrible game mechanic, mods. Vanilla is garbage and mods fix the piss poor game design decisions.

Gotta love how Etho and Tango makes this rather innovative and efficient mail system, and Doc somehow STILL manage to discover ways to deliver stuff faster, in larger quantity and over insane distances. Like, is it any doubt who is the biggest Redstone savant on Hermitcraft or what? XD (Yes, I know Doc is backed up be a whole community and all that, but still, the lengths he goes to for efficiency and manipulating both redstone and the game itself is insane.)

As loyal as I am to the 🐐father, I think Zedaph's accomplishment was the more impressive-IIRC he needed to AFK for *seven IRL days* in all in order to spawn the Clucky Few, and the ingenuity needed to construct a system that got the odds down from _impossible_ to _improbable_ was truly staggering.

Admittedly, although doc's boat cannon is a lot faster for long-distance item transport than the mail system, it's actually a lot easier to break, as it can ONLY work when there arent players nearby; if they tried to build a mail system on the same technology, mail would disappear whenever someone was in the nether

In my opinion, Doc is better at game quirks (think SciCraft), Grian does buildings, Scar does terraforming, Mumbo is the Redstoner.

I would argue that what doc does isn't all red stone. Yes he has the red stone farms and stuff designed by the hive mind, but the stuff like the boat launcher would be more a technical Minecraft than red stone, because it's based entirely off of game mechanics and barely uses anyredstone except for the loading and unloading.

The amount of clever references to both Hermitcraft itself *and* the media outside the Minecraft community these guys manage to cram into these recaps never fails to amaze me, and whlist slightly slanderous sometimes, they are always a good time and manage to thoroughly yet concisely sum up the events. What I love about Hermitcraft is that you can see cities rise from the ashes of hours, experience stories from great friends that are half-told and half-improvised, see novelties of persistence come into fruition - like the villager on a trader... and then you have a god damn mf'ing boat-shulker-railgun, all in one week. This the sort of creative universe where the side-stories are like morsels of gold, and the main plot beats are full entrée's of lifesource excellence. Couldn't find a synonym for whatever I wanted to say with "lifeforce", but I'm sure you readers grok my sentiment.

And then there's the Hermit Office which is a government-themed horror-adjacent "experience" complete with pranks, nonsense, and intentionally distressing hold music all bundled up into a building that reeks of all the worst bureaucratic experiences you've ever had.

Doc has easily done some of the most impressive things within the game in order to make his shop. I mean he’s made the most efficient bonemeal farm, practically automated the production of every wood type (except dark oak as of the time this comment was made), and has made one of the biggest displays with some of the best detailing. Ik it’s unsurprising because it’s Doc, but I mean I gotta give it to him because he’s never really delved deep into the shop game

Redstone encode/decode is actually really quite simple. It's just a machine that moves information from one place to another, without needing an entire Redstone signal line for each bit.
