What I love about Pearl's build is that there is now a lore for boatem. Since the lighthouse castle is on top of a mountain, with the other mountains nearby. It implicates that the sea level used to be higher. And it has slowly been lowering over centuries. Allowing Pearl's boats to get stranded in land, grian's cave to be carved out and making place for impulse's factory

DISCLAIMER: I apologize in advance for the wall of text. Also, numbers are totally random. Boatem Cronology, Vol.1. ??? SBC (Standard Boatem Calendar) - The ocean cedes way to the mountains of the Northwest Basin. The ruins of an ancient lighthouse of unknown origin is the last remaining piece of its previous settlers. Moss covers a lush waterfall and granite mountain range. Many a cave was eroded and dried during the span of centuries. A spruce forest houses the few indigenous villagers that first made it when the ocean receded. A spiky canyon scars the land behind the granite mountain. 0 SBC - Tycoon Scar first sets foot on the forests near the Northwest Basin. Requesting the aid of Mumbo K. Jumbo and Grian the Dragonslayer, he conquers the land. 1 SBC - Impulse migrates into the Northwest Basin. A monument, a totem of boats, is erected to celebrate the feats of conquering the land. After some strong bonding, Mumbo K. Jumbo officially baptizes the monument, and thus the land, with the name of Boatem. Pearl migrates unto Boatem, where she is quickly accepted unto the tribe: the highest honor she gets, building the Australian Boatem Pole to accompany the original, as well as taking seat on all 5 boats of the Boatem Pole, a feat no other Boatemite has ever performed. 4 -10 SBC - Grian builds his observatory house. Impulse makes a small house. Pearl salvages a shipwreck and makes a home out of it. Mumbo Parks his van. Scars mobile home safely makes it to the Boatem village. 5 SBC - Begining of the GREAT TREE WAR. A malicious curse is unleashed unto Mumbo, as it was he who baptized the Boatem Pole with its name. He is the eternal guardian of the woods, his hands bound from ever slaying plant, animal or person alike. As his mind slowly descends to insanity, he creates countermeasures to satiate his innate bloodlust. 6 SBC - End of the GREAT TREE WAR. A construct of the wood's spirits is now the protector of Mumbo's van. Upon signing the war treaty with Grian, the origin of Mumbo's bloodlust is revealed: a cursed second name, Killsalot, will slowly corrupt his mind as his hands are bound from taking life. 7 SBC - Beginning of the GOATEM WAR. Beginning of TEGG. 8 SBC - The ground collapses beaneath the Boatem Pole, but a malicious force, fueled by the victims that fell unto it, keeps the Boatem Pole afloat. 10 SBC - Beginning of the CRYSTAL WARS. Mumbo can finally satisfy his bloodlust without breaking his contract with the Boatem Pole. The use of Ender Crystals was the loophole he was long searching for. 16 SBC - Grian founds the G-Train. Pearl founds the Llamada. Impulse makes a collective with Welsknight, keeper of the northwest. Mumbo sells End Crystals. Scars Swaggon Empire rides unto every corner of the continent. 20 SBC - Impulse is visited by Charlie to continue his legacy of chocolate making. Between Scar, Pearl and Grian, the finances of Boatem skyrocket. The birth of Impulses factory is the catalyst for the villages turning into a town [AKA, the Giga Base]. 26 SBC - End of TEGG. 33 SBC - Pearl negotiates the demolishing of the Discount Beacon. Negotiations are succesful. 34 SBC - Tycoon Scars swaggon fleet fully stations itself on the land. Pearl intends to salvage the lighthouse ruins. Mumbo makes a cave hideout in the lushiest cave in Boatem. Grian becomes elder of the [Name Pending] Alley. Impulse's factory grows evermore. Edit: Grammar.

A suggestion for the Boatam shopping district layout: instead of using roads, connect the shops with rivers and provide complimentary boats at the entrance. Because it’s Boatam. Even if it’s just waterlogged slabs, I think it’d add a bit more uniqueness to the place.

That’s kind of what we’ve got going on the SMP my friends have! A massive river runs through nearly every biome within about 800 blocks in all directions, so we’ve been building our homes on the river and digging a canal system off the river to connect to even more biomes and bodies of water. Our main method of transportation is boat and I think that’s super cool.

Pearl, great work! Seeing what you're going for, for your base, I think you'll find this interesting: Gabriele D'Annunzio, one of the greatest and most flamboyant italian poets, build his gigantic house on a hill, and he demanded a warship to be brought up said hill and to be embedded in its side. You can visit it still, and you'll find an entire warship just lying in the garden. It's incredible! The house is called "Vittoriale degli Italiani" (The Italians' Victorial), the ship is called "Regia Nave Puglia" (Royal Ship Apulia)

I love the layout of the pieces of the gigabase, the way each part gets more fantastical as you go round. Impulse with his industrial/modern base, then Mumbo with his modern/"comic book fantasy" part, then Grian's low/modern fantasy section, and now Pearl with her high fantasy part. The lighthouse-castle looks amazing, even just in stone. It reminds me of the Fireman’s home from Twin Peaks and the Wicked Witch of the West’s castle from the Wizard of Oz.

So, Scar is going to build some sort of floating cloud castle thing. I see some great synergy with your lighthouse castle if you can add some Zeppelins or airships en route between the two. Grian's base is modeled after Hogwarts, so the whole right size of the Boatem base is going to be magic-centric. Not sure how that will mesh with Impulse's mega factory, but maybe Zeppelins would also fit with his theme a little?

I love the idea of a creature incorporated in the build! A sea dragon came to mind because of the dragon with castles in fantasy and sea because…boats. Or a kraken would look great as well!

Maby you could merge your base in whit grian. change his mountain terain a bit so it matches you a bit better. So you don’t have to build a hole new part but only changes grian’s a bit. This is a win win win situation because you have less work to do. Grian is not planning to do anything whit the top of his mountain. And the giga base merge better in.
