I liked the smash and grab! A sugestion for the next event: 1) build a chest monster with all the loot. 2) everyone is limited to say 3 inventory slots. 3) each player has to run back and forth to their own "pile" to store what they grab. 4) depending on your score your "pile" is closer to the big chest monster.

I think that by making a certain xp milestone give an extra point, hermits might be incentivised to loot more, therefore providing more loot for everyone to share. It adds risk (finishing later) but potential reward for staying in the vault.

You can have it bracket style too :) It would be a great opportunity to see others collab together who don’t normally have the chance to. This was super fun and exciting to watch! This event is amazing!! Ever since you announced your project about Vault Hunter, I’ve been wanting to play it. But due to my laptop not able to support mc really well, I wasn’t able to play it. When you released sky vaults I finally got a chance to play it for a little bit till my laptop cannot support. It was super fun but I bcs there was too much info and minimal guidelines I was so confused. After seeing you announced hermit crafts vault hunter with the latest update, I’m really excited to get a new laptop to finally be able to play vault hunters with all the quest to guide the beginners. Keep up the good works Iskall and the team.

I mean, I don't really think of it as a 'selfless sacrifice' or something along those lines, that's a bit much; they're just friends who want to have fun together, and Iskall happens to be the creator of VH so he's both the host and the most experienced player. He's mostly well off when it comes to the resources, plus he wanted to spend some time together with other hermits. I think that for him, seeing others enjoy the game he created and being hyped by the event is the reward in itself. But yeah, he's the kind of person to give a big present to others and just be happy because being nice is fun :)

I got one. Team Elixers (ELIXER RUSH), each team has their own hubs and portal, they use whatever resources they want to complete as many elixers with that portal (as whole team completions, if someone dies or leaves without a completion crate it's game over for that vault crystal) in a given time frame (so if it's an hour, the ideal is to get in and out as quick as possible, so chaos crystals are fair game if anyone on the team wishes to contribute to more spawns for faster elixers to burn through). The process of not delooting between each vault of that hour could become quite encumbersome, so it would be up to each team to strategize how they would handle looting between trying to take all with the highest elixer completion before the global event timer stops.

Another one. Grounded (naming alteration to 'Iron Man'). No fruits (except in vault looted ones if desired), No active abilities, No healing of any kind (so the only banned abilities on weapons are ones that heal health or mana resources, increases are fair game as they are additive and not supplementary/renewable for use during the vault to regain the resource), No completion crate (obtaining one disqualifies you, but you must exit without death through the entry portal). This means your goal is to get as much as you possibly can in the vault before the timer expires WITHOUT getting a completion crate. This also means, you can try to sabotage others by completing objectives (since the vault is random, you could try to increase everyone else's elixer, cap the monuments, etc. ofc you can't complete someone's scav) so being aware of how much you can get out of it is crucial, and if other's went too far you can try to disqualify others as well (think of like how zombie gamemodes work by infecting others who fail, or I guess secret life becoming red also works as an analogy, the fun doesn't have to stop since it's all getting recycled). The placement is scored by how many soul shards your entire looted vault is worth, so you could just dump EVERYTHING into one of those machines, hook the output up to a drawer with trim for that player, and a block for that round (emerald for round 1, gold for 2, etc... cobblestone trim for etho, amythest trim for joehills, etc). Being disqualified in a round nullifies those shards from being counted, but they are still added to the pool of winnings (so the opportunity to grind and be nice if you fail is there for those who prefer to take a graceful and sportsmanlike L) What this allows for, is at the very end, you get to place your drawers like it's a totem on your player podium, which everyone will do to collectively reveal who the winner was for getting the most soul shards.

I feel like a crystal modifier that can only be crafted that removes the limitation of parties for the vault and instead each party that enters gains their own scavenger objective that is completed as a team could be really cool. So if 3 teams of 4 enter, each team has a single scav to complete meaning 3 sets of items. Could also be of use to servers doing coop as it allows them to just go in as a single party still to do a proper coop scav vault.

I think a good additional sort of "Catch Up/Greed is Good" mechanic would be to also hand out points based on the number of soul shards each player gets from all the rotten scavenger items from each vault. This can encourage people to stick around a little longer and loot a little extra from the vaults.

This isn't really all that related to this video in specific, but I just had an amazing idea for a fan animation. The scene is Iskal85's Sahara tower of doom (patent pending), a wideview dramatic shot of the exterier to be specific, the camera center on a high up window and then after a small amount of time (maybe time this next bit with some epic music) we zoom into said window where Iskall sits in his omega evil buisness looking chair, across from him is Etho (or Stress or any other hermit I suppose), when Iskall sits down we flip the shot quickly to the under-side of the table as Iskall presses a button...{dramtic pause idealy timed with equally dramatic music, then as the music haults/crushindos/slows we jump back to a wide view shot of Iskall and Etho across from one another and a cupcake appears as Iskall says "Care for a cupcake?" and Iskall's reaper scythe (or bamboo sword/McHammer/any other funny weapon like item he has if you want it to be sort of comedic) appears in his hand and the sharp point. (the point im talking about would be the pointy bit on the inside. I'm not sure what thats called, but i'm sure it has some name) Now ideally you'd probably want something after this or more than this, but this is all I got. (Also if you're wondering why I don't do something with this, I'm not very good at animating and don't know anyone who is so feel free to do what you'd like with this idea)

Loved the episode! Really liked the strategy your team had with the tiebreaker. Maybe an additional rule could be that each team has a shulkerbox in the first room, as a sort of dropoff point that only the teamleader can take stuff from before handing it in? The other team could troll you with the handing in process that way

Yet another one. Tried true and classic, Bingo. Don't think I have to explain it other than it basically being a scavenger vault, but all vault loot is included on the cards. It would make things like pogs, trinkets, omega chestplate, echo gem, etc, a very lucky or very daunting thing on your card. The idea is simply just good memory when focusing items in a vault, like Elixer Rush was meant for time efficiency, and Grounded was meant for looting efficiency. If you see core elements to completing the 100 days challenge *not* being learned amongst the majority of Hermits, then it might be worth considering an idea that promotes learning that Vault Hunters skill as goal in a potential future event. addendum: could make bingo spots dynamic too (kill 10 champions). So at the end of the vault your spots completed, and your bingo rows/completions (like getting the x of two diagonals, four corners, golden line, and other bonus-point score boosts) all factor into your score for that round of bingo. Also bonus score for completing a vault (instead of a bingo row) would make it feel more invested as opposed to sorta random like it was in the scav successions.

Vault gauntlet - each team has 5 crystals of increasing difficulties (higher level, harder themes, and negative modifiers) (each teams crystals are identical.) Your whole team as to finish a vault before you can open the next one and for every player that dies you have to wait 2.5 extra mins before opening the one after. need a fast delooting system to make it work.

You could do a zero to hero race where you all enter the vault without and armor or weapons and have to use what you find. You could do a 5 lowest vs 5 highest where the higher leveled team has 2 or 3 curses applied to their crystals. So much potential for racing and challenging folks.

I wonder how different it might have been if Iskall didn't win. Maybe dividing up the loot at the end regardless of who wins would be a good idea? I think it would be really cool for shields and maybe other offhand to have a low chance of getting a single slot that you could embed a trinket into, basically allowing you to run vaults with 3 trinkets. And you can add this slot to your gear but you are more likely to break that gear piece than be successful.

Btw, idk what you usually put there, but I think it would be useful to put your scav bag in your backpack slot (then bind a hotkey if you haven't yet) so you only have to click once to check it

Thoroughly enjoyable and really funny event. Iskall in his element as vault/ringmaster. Plenty of laughs excitement and fun in this series. Loved vh before but this was a nice aside. It was really fun to watch :) The whole idea of HABBA was amazing. The only thing that I was missing was that you didn't show what the loot combined was :( I'd love to see everything that the participants got in mby like a giant chest or something so the viewers could see how much loot 10 players can accumulate in such a challange. Would be also nice if you opend all the completion chests separetly and showed the combined loot from those too - seeing so many chests was cool but not seeing what was in them wasn't.

Something that would be fun is doing team vaults where groups have to complete a vault of each type before the other team. Groups can be split in half or make them 2-4. Also the Groups should be randomly generated by a spin wheel to make it fair for everyone

Hey Iskall! I've been thinking a lot about the heal ability in this game and I think it's time it could use a major rework! Now, I know that heal is one of the biggest innovations from VH2 to 3, so I don't say that lightly, and I don't even think that the main ability needs a rework. I think what needs a rework is its rekits. Heal is such a game changer that it feels nearly worthless to choose group heal or cleanse. Putting cleanse as a potion modifier was a great first step but I think we should go a bit further, because as it stands, the game just isnt structured in a way that either is particularly good without major reworks. Group heal would be great in a game where coop meant proper adventuring parties, where different people filled different roles and everyone stuck together, but in VH, the very nature of the game is that sticking together is inefficient. Cleanse, meanwhile, would be great in a game where status effects were terrifying and debilitating but VH purposely avoids doing that because it just feels less fun to do. So, here's my proposed changes. First of all, get group heal out of here. It just wasn't designed with 3E in mind and really doesn't work here. keep cleanse as a vial ability, don't get rid of it there because that addition just feels fantastic for discovery in the archives, and if you have plans to make status effects more dangerous to the player, maybe just keep it as a heal variation, but if not then get it outta here. My first added variation is a healing over time ability. It's a pretty basic RPG decision, do you want to heal a little right now or heal a lot over time. Pretty simple ability too, you click it and get regeneration for a certain duration, at level 5 it becomes regen 2, maybe it becomes 3 at max level. The max amount of healing you get from it should always be around double the amount normal heal would give you at that level, but over the duration. My second variation is called "Stored Power," i'm trying to think like traditional abilities in games and one common thing there is that there'll be a variation that basically reverses what the ability does. So stored power reduces your healing efficiency to 50% for a short time, but you then deal x% extra damage for your next x amount of hits based on the amount of healing you did in that time. Honestly stored power could even be its own separate ability. It could have a "deal extra damage based on the amount of healing" variant, a "deal extra damage based on the amount of damage you take," (call it no pain no gain), a gain mana variant, and the key to making them balanced is that there's always a brief penalty on you when you do it. If it's based on how much damage you do, you get weakness for the duration. If it's based on how much damage you take, mobs do extra damage for the duration. If it's based on healing, you have lower healing efficiency

23:36 When picking teams, the usual way (which was used in this case) is to have teams picking like: 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2. But it creates unbalanced teams (of course it will never be 100% balanced, but there are ways to reduce that). A better way of doing it is to do: 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2, 1 If you imagine that the skill of the players were perfectly linear and assign numbers to them, the first method would have the one team with strength 20 and the other with strength 16 (supposing 8 players and not counting the person picking), the method I proposed would have both teams with strength 18.

I have been really enjoying this series and found this video particularly more enjoyable. I was wondering, what other vault types are there that you could do an ABBA concept with? I think it would be more fun and higher stakes if more loot was collected during the runs rather than be cut off 5 minutes in when people leave the vault. I'm not sure if maybe there's a way to modify it in that way, but I just thought I would leave the suggestion. Keep up the great content!

may there could be a new type of vault challenge vault it is scav. but only 15 min. 10..5… there is no death if you die or your time is up you just spawn on the outside with all the loot to that point in the inventory dobbles the vault nr. relativ to time - more points to collect - better race no ties … mariocart rules are : who gets the points first have the higher rang i hope my english is good enough😂

Amazing! this is what I was looking for from modded minecraft series. I first watch iskall Vault hunters video when he's playing single player and has wooden wall as base. I've been following his journey playing Vault Hunters since then without knowing he's already playing on multiplayer server before xD He's been teasing us with other player joining his single player to play together unfortunately it hasn't been realized until now with other hermits playing together. It was already fun first episode when they run vaults together but now it's even better when there's competition between them! What an amazing series. I hope you guys finished the vault after 100 days. I only watch Vault Hunters through KZbin and never actually played it myself so I didn't know what final vault looks like xD

Teams of two with the highest and lowest levels pairing off would be cool, and then meet in the middle... Reshuffle the teams after every vault, players get the same points as their team individually, you end with a best-team and a best-player awards

A few weeks behind, but yes, this was a fab event. Only other suggestion I can make (that others probably already have) is maybe a chaos vault round and it's a case of whoever survives the longest. This was a lot of fun to watch, but it might be best that if a tiebreaker is needed, you get chosen last- Etho choosing you first probably had a large impact on his success.

A teams competition, 3people per team, and it only counts if and when all 3 people finish their scav. Then you can also balance the teams to give everyone a fair shot at winning. Also - I was waiting for someone to take "smash and grab" at the end serious and start breaking down the drawers and take the controller.

It would be interesting if the next one was like a triathlon type vault challenge. First vault is who can get the most cakes in a cake vault, second is scavenger vault, and third is whoever can get the most knowledge essence

Hmm... 🤔 Maybe THABBA event next time? Team HABBA scav run??? Split into 2 or 5 team (highest lv pair with lowest n so on). 1st team that completed all their member scav got 10 point, 2nd 8, n so on... Cz low level definitely got huge disadvantage (from dmg to mobs, dmg taken, movement spd, n also looting spd). But if you pair highest with lowest, it will help the lowest at least have a chance to win n will make the highest lv player slow down a bit to care for his team. The winner split the loots... N the loser cry, unless IskallMAN wins it again, and decide to split his loots for the loser... This way you will also help the lowest level member progressing... This is really nice event... Hope for more, but must be hard to get everybody on the same schedule...
