Suprised vindicators and squires are that low, i feel like they serve a very a good role in heaven. Squires ability to deflect 50% of the range damage surrounding him is so broken. I usually just put my crossbowmen next to it and let my peaseants stay far away from the squire so they end up being targeted. Ghost are kinda overrated in my opinion. Despite the ability being 1 of the best it is simply unreliable as your own unit and does not do anything else right. Low hp, low damage, low defense, low speed. All in All quite overrated tbh. If I had to rank tier 3 (probally the easiest to rank) Hunters the best Squire/vindicator Golems Cerberus (only up here because they are good for roaming, in a hero battle these guys will get killed instantly) Bears (too chunky but they are kinda nice) Warriors (with full blood obviously 2nd best) Mino's (bad defense and low growth, otherwise very strong unit. Vindicator is better tho) Ghost

They just aren’t really that great other than that ability, and that’s if you choose that upgraded version. Ghosts are def carried by the possibility of getting a missed hit on them but that honestly can really change a fight if you attack them with a top tier unit and miss, essentially wasted a great turn. Hunters are great. Squire are meh, low movement and not great attack, defense is decent though. Cerberus has about 1 turn to be great and then they are dead lol. Golems are pretty decent mostly just due to magic defense and defense itself. Minotaurs are good especially with unlimited retaliation but unfortunately dungeon creatures have awful growth and he isn’t that great aside from the ability. Bears are meh, not that great but not that bad. Warriors to me are underrated, everyone focuses on the other stronghold units but if that dude goes unchecked he will wreck ur team. Ghosts are good, not only with the missing but also the ammo steal or mana reave. Good in depth comment though. Be sure to check out my other HOMM videos and don’t forget to like and subscribe!!

@@MutantBray I think calling them not good besides the ability's is kinda unfair, since you ranked ghost that high purely for the ability. I would rather take a guaranteed ability then 1 dice ability. Also, I dont think a tier 3 needs to be a carry, the squire is a great support for the actual damage dealers. Warriors are kinda decent but it needs blood to be any good.

@@fumb3335 ya that’s fair, I guess I still just feel like the ghost ability can be much more significant. And I def don’t expect a tier three to carry but some def can such as hunters. And it doesn’t take much blood at all to get the warriors going, def an underrated tier 3 unit imo.

My favorite way to play is building a hero focused on boosting initiative (mainly through items and the sorcery skill tree) and debuffing (Dark Magic plus Summoning if playing as Necropolis). Mass slow with a large boost to your army's initiative makes it so many of your troops can act twice, maybe even thrice per round, so creatures with the no retaliation ability (minotaurs, vampires, cerberus) can charge in, kill a lot and pull back if needed to avoid being hit by infantry. Very good video, it's nice coming back to this game after so many years haha, good memories.

Here I disagree with Minotaurs. I find them probably the worst tier 3 unit in the game. They have high health but awful defense, and one thing that all Dungeon heroes don't have is defense. Their high hp isn't doing anything with their defense of TWO! that's worse than some tier 1 creatures! With some other faction heroes that have good def growth they could be better but overall they are pretty rubbish. Also their weekly growth is the worst among tier 3s. Their dmg is high but the moment they get a hit they die like flies. I would put them at D all the way. If their growth was bigger they would be solid B maybe even A but in this state they are just bad. Hunters honestly all three of them I would put at S. Even unapgraded ones are such a huge boon for Sylvan in the early game, you can clear neutrals almost faster than any other factions just because of them. Both upgraded orcs I would put at A, but not S. Bot upgrades are good and both are serving a different strategy. One is for turtle defense the other one for huge offense. Strong solid units arguably the best balanced tier 3. Golems I would put upgraded ones in B unapgraded one in C. They are just to slow and because of their low ini that they aren't that useful. I almost never bring them with my main and usually either leave them to defend castle or slap them on secondary heroes to harras enemy mines or kill weak neutral units. The only other unit I disagree are Ghosts. In my opinion Ghosts are THE worst designed vise unit in the game. In a strategy game having something so RNG based is just bad design. While Moral and Luck are also somewhat RNG you can at least control them to some degree, something that you can't do at all with ghosts. Their untenability is their biggest weakness and having to rely on 50/50 luck of having your whole stuck getting obliterated while attacking is just bad. Their stats are low, their dmg output is nothing special and they are a pain in the neutral armies and almost useless in your hands. C or low B at most. But I still stand that they are the worst designed unit in the entire game. They should have taken a note from heroes 4 and give them huge defense but low dmg and aging effect, than the ghosts would be a good solid unit whit which you can tank and debuff the enemy. The other things I agree I always found the bears pretty mid, and Squires while huge in numbers and unmatched in tankines among lower tier units... just don't do dmg. Honestly buying them is just a waste of resources and if you want to protect you shooters from enemy range you just buy a couple of them and slap them between your archers. Enemy will almost never target them so their low numbers aren't a problem. But overall its almost always better splitting your archers into two stack than putting Squires in your army. B is good tier for them. They aren't useless but are unimpressive either.

Squires and Vindicators are definitely an A-tier. The former are great for defense, your crossbowmen become almost bulletproof. And the bash proc also helps immensely. The latter are great damage dealers with Laszlo and also nearly unkillable. You need to get a better understanding of the game, because you haven't even fully discussed the abilities of all the creatures. For example, you completely skipped over the Minotaur Taskmasters without discussing their abilities at all and just put them in A tier. Also, in your level 2 creatures tier list, you claimed that only Blood Furies have the No Retaliation ability, but that isn't true. Blood Sisters have it as well.

Yes they are definitely great for defense, low damage though. But like I said new and updated and more in depth creature tier lists coming!! They are already made just need uploaded and they will be much more to ur likely as I go much more in depth with a abilities

@@crossmodulation9730 yes but that can be said with any unit pretty much. The higher the number the better for everything. And while there damage isn’t bad by any means they are definitely much more of a defensive unit, not that there is anything wrong with that. Pretty good defense, def top 3 if not number one as far as tier 3 creatures, and decent damage as well. As said before an updated list is coming out, and I’ll give you some insight to the vid and let u know that vindicators are indeed in the A tier;).

@@MutantBray Yes, but I'm talking about the natural weekly growth that accounts for the quantity. I will always have more Vindicators than you will have Minotaurs.

the same situation as tier 6 cat's is bear's. okay, this time they are not good in stats (hp and def are awsome after all, but the others are average), but they are insane in abilities that activate pritty much often to dominate in battle. again do some tests. they may be average in some situations but they are definatly not the outsiders.

Again, not bad units. And yes I would say their abilities seem to activate pretty often but they are not insane as you say. Are they nice and helpful sure but they don’t don’t change the game or are that big of difference makers when they do happen. Pretty mid tier 3 units, especially if their abilities aren’t activating they are even worse. Compared to other tier 3 units they are def one of the worst and if they are better than any other tier 3s it is not by much at all

Thanks!! Yes ghosts can def be a PAIN. I would say either them or hunters are my fav tier three creatures but I also enjoy Minotaurs and the stronghold warriors as well. Still got 4 more tier lists to come so stay tuned!!

Great videos I will see all of these! Heroes 4-6-7 will be there too? In Heroes 7.5 mod now there is 11 creatures per factions and there are 12 factions! Also alternative ones you can choose and buy 8 creatures even !@@MutantBray

Yeah its really great! I found the necros too as OP as you said also in H3 and H5. Luckily in H6-7 i think they are strong but not superb strong. Just now i found Heroes 7.5 in that tier list page i just make one it was really hard with 12 factions i hope its accurate but the new 5 type factions Iam not sure in it now still :D@@MutantBray Yes of course i liked your video and subscribe to your channel now! Not there a Heroes 3 faction list also? I dont find it now. Heroes 6 we had a tournament last year it was really good also now ther ewill be with Heroes 7.5 in October. If you want to participate on it we waiting for you. There is a Heroes 7.5 mod verseny tournament named group for it with 20 members now foreigners hungarians too.
