i have a huge apricot tree in my yard, that when i moved into this house a year ago it was a near-dead ancient looking trunk with two sad branches. i guess where it is, it doesn't stand up long to the strong westerly we get and how easily those branches break! well this year, it has six branches, and i have just pruned it after it gave me a good 25 DELICIOUS sweet most amazing apricots i've ever eaten (compared to maybe 4 edible fruit last year). i'm attempting to build in shelter to protect it from future breakage and have formed a new leading trunk for it. in after it flowers, i want to take cuttings from it to turn into pre-bonsai to give to all my family

I wonder if you also know _Chimonanthus preacox?_ It has yellow flowers, blooms even earlier than the Ume and also has a very nice fragrance. Hello, I have a funny story with prunus mume A few years ago, I sowed an apricot kernel from a bonsai. without really knowing what it was, I sowed the seed and it was forgotten in a pot with other plants. One day a small plant was born, which meanwhile had already forgotten. I was taking care of her and still little began to blossom. meanwhile I started looking for information about this oriental tree being fascinated by its history. Two years ago I planted in a very large cement pot and it grew very quickly. This year, in December and January, it bloomed in a spectacular and abundant way and full of aroma. . Some small birds and bees also appeared as if it were spring. I wish that some fruit. It is a very important event in my life and I hope to celebrate this great wealth every year.
