I love the battle of wills concept, and can see some RP uses going forward in HQ, or even a Diplomat character. Diplomat - stats same as the Elf. Cannot use bows/xbows or two handed weapons. Abilities: Parlay - can only be used on intelligent creatures (1+ mind points), so long as the opponents in the room are not attacked, the opponents will not attack on Zargons turn. Wills check for success. Return to hand if at full health for two consecutive turns. Confuse - Wills check, if opponent fails does not attack, if Diplomat wins by more than 2 points, opponents will attack the nearest opponent. Lasts for one turn, return to hand if at full health for 2 turns. Frighten - Wills check, opponents will run away or cower in place for a number of turns that they lose the Wills check. Keep in hand, can only be used once per battle encounter. Uncommon Lore - Once per quest may draw 3 treasure cards when searching for treasure, and may choose which treasure to keep, then may either shuffle the other two cards back on the deck or place them on top in any order the Diplomat chooses.

A class like this would be great. I can see them flirting with the idea (SPQ's "search for orc ally", and some Dread Moon mechanics).

The heroes face their first Nam scenerio. In order to save the village from Zargon they have to destroy the village.

A reward that can given to the players in a later adventure the heroes meet an alchemist. He/she is a trading partner with the goblins. If the heroes are allies with the goblins, the alchemist might provide potions at a discount.

the new Heroquest should be Orcquest with heroquest rules. Orcs and goblins, troll and ogres as the heroes.

The wandering monster could be a goblin that is a political enemy. He sees the value of joining Zargons dread forces and unlike our heroes he is not an outsider

Hey Ash, off the wall question. What order should the new expansions be played In Herosquest? We've played Kellers, and Witch Lord we finished last night. I have all the new expansions and can't really find the order for these new ones. Thought if anybody knows it would be you. Any help is appreciated and keep up the awsome vids.

This is a really cool way of playing HQ, as much as i love the HQ board. This has all of the living creativity of more Role-Play dungeon crawlers, while retaining the simplicity. Fantastic 🤌 The only think I might add/change is, make the new weapons cheaper but they 'rust' or etc at the end of the quest. There should be a good reason why they are so impermanent, and why they should be capitalized on now.
