Not a problem! I would love to give it a go on my channel if I can just have the time. Unfortunately no promises tho because I am already keeping up with the schedule as it is haha. But well done it really Is a fairly decent game. I have been reading Across a thousand Dead Worlds as well and it seems quite neat game as well...a lot to read tho! I was surprised by the page count! (But it's all good stuff tho)

Great video! I also want to point out to journaling games and, specifically, Alone Among the Stars (and it's huuuge number of hacks). It's my go-to game when I'm feeling so tired to have an actual solo play with Mythic GME and different TTRPGs. Rules for it are basically 2 or 3 pages and it all boils down to rolling single d6 and drawing cards from the deck. Maybe for some people amount of information in prompts would be too small, but I was really surprised how much this game inspired me.

Yeah! Journaling games are still a bit mystery for me on where they land... I have just started to play thousand year old vampire myself! It's definitely fun!

And I have actually heard about Alone among the stars! Thank you for the suggestion!

Warlord Ascendant is a lot of fun and you can kinda mix rpg and miniatures. Playing solo with both is great.

Definitely and I think Alex (creator of both games) Did a very good job making the both games feel very distinct but similar at the same time.

For Chill, and don't want to think too much, we often play Cozy Town with my daugther with a small desk of cards.

Hmm I think I will pick up Cartograph and Ronin. What you mention about Ironsworn is my biggest problem with trying it, too many card rules. I felt like I spent all the time juggling all the rules and trying to match it with what was rolled. Haha I still need to give Scarlet Heroes a try especially after your helpful video! Thank you!
@CRP-Waltteri7 ай бұрын
Not a problem! Yeah when I tried Ronin out it definitely felt like it was a lot quicker to start than Ironsworn but still had the same vibe. I can't say for sure because I had played Ironsworn before Ronin, so my judgement is a bit clouded, but I do think starting out with Ronin could be an easier time.

How did you miss the Forbidden Psalm Family? Forbidden Psalm, Kill Sample Process, and The Last War?
@CRP-Waltteri2 ай бұрын
Well for example, I feel like Forbidden Psalm needs a bit more set up to be played, and this video was all about the more lighter and easy games to start and play. Kill Sample Process and the last war I don't know off! So thank you for sharing those I will definitely check them out!

Iron Valley is a good one. While technically a narrative rpg (based on Ironsworn), you can focus less on the narrative and more on the mechanics. It feels really similar to Minecraft, particularly with it’s resource gathering and wonderful crafting system.

I know of Iron Valley but I have not actually read it! Maybe a should take a look. Thank you for the tip!

Cairn, thank me later xD

Cairn is definitely a good game, and definitely a TTRPG 🤭

I love journaling games like Thousand Year Old Vampire, which don't really qualify as "RPGs" in my mind. They're mostly about responding to prompts with short, evocative journal entries and minimal game mechanics.
@CRP-Waltteri2 ай бұрын
That is a very interesting question indeed if journaling games can be considered to be TTRPGs. I would definitely want to make a video out of it sometime!
