Better to just ask for a senior officer sergeant or inspector and that will drop all of them right in it & he will be called back to the police station immediately for his report. PC Wood probably never put the search record in the system in the hope that AB would just not bother trying to obtain it. Once someone turns up at a police station asking for the record they contact the officer who begins the process of entering the details into the system, no proof of wrongdoing but we all know what their game is. AB please invoice the Chief constable for your time, keep sending the invoices getting more threatening with each one eventually raising it to petty debts. Wood distinctly told you he would provide a record of the search after the search was complete, he lied which has caused you wasted time and effort, the local force should be accountable for this. Why is that police dog not safe to approach? It should be. They're supposed to be highly trained to attack and let go on command. If that officer wasn't planning on commanding it to attack you, if it poses a threat, it is quite literally a danger to the public and is not fit for service. Suppose an elderly person quietly approached that officer from behind to report something. Would the dog maul them? Messed up.
