This game really is fun to play. Just completed it yesterday without losing a Pikmin on all levels. Got a bit hard towards the end but thats what made the game worth it. It's a cute game and had some fun puzzles. Just wish it was a bit harder at times. Can't wait for Pikmin 4!

Why do people think this is replacing/delaying/canceling Pikmin 4? This is just a small spinoff to tide folks over while the real deal continues development, just like Fed Force. It's not taking away production time or resources because it's a completely separate dev team, too. But hey, at least folks have stopped complaining about Fed Force, which had more content and engaging gameplay than Hey! Pikmin, honestly. Not sure why this isn't getting as much flak, not that it needs it...

2:00 this is wrong the blue pikmin died of an electrical shock because he was able to conduct electricity through his body if he could not conduct electricity he would be completely fine. However yellow pikmin can conduct electricity but they are resistant to it.

I can't believe this got better reviews than Pikmin 3. I played some Hey! Pikmin, and it was just _so_ boring. It felt like just every other platformer that's ever been made, ever, just that you can throw Pikmin at stuff now. It just kinda blatantly forgets what makes the mainline Pikmin games fun, which wouldn't be so bad if what we _did_ get wasn't so unappealing and generic. I like Pikmin because of the multitasking, time management, delegation, really just the general feeling of managing several operations at once, all of which is absent in Hey! Pikmin. The only real main trait it borrows from the mainline series is item collection, which even _that_ is boring, because getting items isn't difficult or challenging at all ( provided you have all the Pikmin you need, which you usually do), since they only need to get the item to Olimar, and not to the ship.

Well to be fair, it's racing where as with Pikmin, even though it's a platformer it's on a 2D plane instead of a 3D one. You're still 'platforming' essentially. You still rescue Pikmin and get them home. Gameplay -wise...nothing has changed. Only the perspective. Would you call Mario 64 a spin-off from Super Mario World? I wouldn't.

Pikmin 4! Please, i tried to support the franchise by purchasing physical and digital versiobs of pikmin 3, also buying digital pikmin 1 and 2 and also i bought pikmin short movies HD and 3D versión on wii u and 3DS respectively, bought the Olimar Amiibo, and i bought Hey! Pikmin on 3ds... And since E3 2014 i have been dissapointed each year with no new announcements... Do people not realise that this game was LITERALLY made for kids? The whole point was to expand the franchise's fanbase to younger audiences, as while it's tonally perfect for young gamers, the core series is a little too hardcore for most children to get on board with. Seems like too many gamers are forgetting that games CAN be made for kids, and not just for older audiences. If it looks too simple for you, just don't buy it; we all already know Pikmin 4 is on the way!!
