However, if you're paying for most of the stuff, you have to let her know what you can afford and a sensible lady would know how to work with whatever you give to her. Don't go about stressing with providing the finances and on top of that still stressing in most of the preparations. Let the woman share that burden in a different way by planning for most part. You're still supporting her by assisting in planning as she's supporting you financially with paying some fewer stuffs. 🤷🏾♂️

I, too, have my own dream wedding, but it's not gonna be mine ONLY. It's for the both of us, so it's important for me that we get what we both want for and on OUR wedding.

That's not a man. That's a homosexual if he dreams about a wedding.
@Jordy_NL2 жыл бұрын
You're taking it too litterally. Obviously the man is not like only a spectator. The point is that the man wants the woman to feel special on this special day. What could the man possibly care more about (besides obvious things) than his wife being happy?
@apolskie34622 жыл бұрын
@@spacecowboy07723 so are you saying that men don't have the right to express what they want for their wedding? When women always want to be equal with men, do you think that's equality? If a man cries, he's not a man? If a man wants something for their wedding, he's not a man? IF YOU SAY that only women has the right to dream about the wedding, don't you think that's being unfair? The wedding is not only for women. Weddings are for the couple. The two of them. To celebrate their union. So if you say that he's not a man for dreaming about his wedding, then I think you need to think about it again.
@apolskie34622 жыл бұрын
@@Jordy_NL I don't think I'm taking this literally. Just the face that she was told to go with what she wants and not mind about what her partner wants. Of course, the groom cares about his future wife to be happy. But what about the bride? Does she care if her future husband will be happy with she wants? Again, a wedding and marriage are shared by both. It is not one sided. Not only one person is getting married, but TWO. There are soem t hings that you need to compromise so both parties will be happy. Now, if we only care about the women's side and sense of happiness, then maybe they should just marry themselves. Not have a partner and disregard what they want. I am a woman too. But with this, I can say, women nowadays are so entitled.

@@ArthurMorgansDeadHorse you're not replying to her traditionally themed answer. Traditionally, is the man but seen as head of household. Traditionally do men not want to make the most of all of the income? Traditionally are men not expected to try to fix things? See the only way she and Steve would wrong is if they were trying to get away from traditions. Even if she's a trophy wife they would be right. Now if I'm the relationship they discuss other things, expectations, life goals etc. and they weren't tradition type people, then yes they should be building and planning together, not just letting him or her run everything. See what people don't realize about Steve's simply answer of the man saying I do, is that the man is still, after everything choosing to commit to her and be with her for a lifetime. That is a very very moving choice to make. It feels great when we know the man we love chooses us, even better when he wants to commit, and the best when ACTUALLY does commit. It's dangerous to speak for all women, but I'm pretty sure I'm 95% correct here. I still think they should work together on something so important to the both of them, but traditionally it doesn't happen. I wish think, the wedding is something that really needs to be discussed early in the engaged... Kind of before the planning even starts. And ideally they would know favorite colors, style, favorite foods/flavors, etc. way before so wedding planning really shouldn't even be that hard. Set the budget, pick the place, how many guests do you want vs. how many can you afford. Those are the hardest things in my opinion. The dress can be difficult, but must women know what they like to wear and what design they're looking for, so I think the only difficulty is actually making the decision and loving herself before she even starts to try things on. Your dress doesn't have to be THE one when you love yourself and you know he loves you for you.

Normally I agree with Steve but this one missed the mark big time. When you get married it ceases to be about YOU and your focus is supposed to move onto the other person. This woman is extremely self centered and believes it's HER day. Last I checked, getting married involves at minimum a party of two. So why is it HER day? Why does she need to have a princess moment like she's an ultra wealthy Disney princess? Isn't it THEIR day? Its supposed to be a shared moment of two separate individuals coming together as one. It is special but its not all about her. This man should run for the hills. She looks at him like he's a bag of $$.

When I am wrong, I Admit, Accept and Apologize (3 A's). After 44 years she still has a bit of a problem with the 3 A's, but I accept nothing less. It is foundational for me.
