Generally, no. The ceramic glaze is basically like glass and it takes a pretty powerful laser to get through it. That being said, you might try the Norton White Tile method. I haven't done it myself but a quick search looks like people have tried it with a diode laser. omtechlaser.com/blogs/news/how-to-laser-engrave-ceramic-tiles-norton-white-tile-method

Great video! I have the x tool M1 10w laser but I am looking for something more powerful. Would you suggest the 40 w version of this laser or the S1 from Xtool?

While I do like the 40W version of this machine, the S1 is my favorite laser so that would be my choice.

@@debbiestrotz6917 The 40W, but I feel like the 20W would be just as capable for most applications, and the engraving will be even better.
