Thanks again for all your advice. I’ve honestly had to figure most of this out over the years by trial and error. Sometimes by watching to see what other people were using. KZbin is a wonderful thing for this information and You and Your channel is probably my favorite. Keep up the Great work. Promoting the fun of Fishing and looking after our environment too.

I haven't fished since I was very little, but I have wanted to relearn. Thank you so much for your videos! I have found them very informative, and I also appreciated your warning about cutting up lines and only keeping fish if you intend to eat them! I look forward to watching more of your videos!

I appreciate the time you take to inform people about different fishing techniques. Above all I appreciated the fact that you inform people not to kill each fish they catch especially small fry. In the past I was a keen fisherman but now I don't have much time for fishing. I would like to try the sabiki rig and I agree although I never used it that 2/3 hooks are enough as I used a similar one with live shrimps. Keep on posting and best regards!

Im from Australia, and fish mainly rivers for our native fish. I love your vedios because its cool to see how people in America target fish and the similarities and differences between targeting methods. My favourite method is catching fish on surface lures, especially Murray Cod ( native river fish) 😏👍

@@MrUKFred some local Mom and Pop bait/tackle stores might do something similar in the U.S . But I havent heard of any organization/charity in the U.S, that wants my old fishing line. With braid I also like the clinch knot. But a tip is to make three or four simple overhand knots afterwards. It doesn’t hurt anything to do this on braid but will help with knot slipping undone. Leave a little longer tag end than usual as well on the swivel. A drop of superglue is a bonus.

Just some point of emphasis. Start making the rig by working on the tail end (where the hook is setup here) and don't cut the line from the spool. That way if you make a mistake, you can just keep pulling line off the spool and keep the length of line required for your rig. If you cut it first, then mess up, well....... you know :-) Just my two cents - I've made hi-lo rigs cutting the line first, and ended up not having the length I've needed due to mess ups here and there. If I start with the dropper loop, and pull off line as I go, I've had better success

Thank you for that statement at the end. It infuriates me when I see people keeping every single thing they bring up out of the ocean. They'll say "I don't eat them, I'll probably just give it to friends/family/etc" and you know damn well they're just going to freeze it until it's no good anymore. I get people asking me all the time "you're not keeping it?!" when I catch a small bass or something. Wtf am I gonna do with one tiny fish?
