Cool cannon! A couple of years ago a few of us were fishing Robert Moses (Long Island NY) around sunset. Some late beachgoers were still around. We caught a few bass and bluefish, then my rod went off! It was a 70 inch plus Dusky shark. I kid you not, a lady walked by and asked, "Did you catch that here?" I wanted to reply that no, its my pet and brought it to the beach for an outing. Then, she stated, "Oh, I didn't know there were sharks in these waters." I did respond by explaining this was the Atlantic Ocean, and yes there are sharks here. Later, I had on another (what I assumed) was another large shark and it burned up my reel. It still smells like it was on fire. Complete toast when I took it apart. Great memories!

We tried to come up with something like this years ago for stripper fishing on the OBX. We could see the birds over the school past the outer bar. We used to beach launch John boats but that comes with its own risks and is semi sketchy in the winter when the striper ran. This thing is sick!!

drone is way better. more expensive but way better especially if you want to fish for big sharks. big sharks love stingray and you can fly a 5 or 10 lb half ray out 3 to 600 yards out. you need bigger reels also but its fun when you hook up to a 8 to 12' monster

Here’s a tip for the black drum worms. Filet the fish, put oil and lemon cover the filet and put on a cedar plank, put on grill or oven super low heat, and the worms will crawl out and the fish will cook, then you can raise the heat. Or let it sit in fresh water overnight it’ll force the worms outside the filet. If you don’t filet, skin the fish first 😊

Hey Skipper You should try fishing on the East Coast on Ocracoke Island, NC Very nice place and about 15 miles of nothing but National Seashore. Also, have you noticed that people fishing from the beach try to throw out as far as they can, and people in boats try to get as close as they can to the beach fishing?

My uncle Bob built a pumpkin cannon for a local farm that is mounted on the back of a truck and it uses a giant tank full of air to launch the cannon. It's not portable like yours. I think your next one should be mounted on wheels that you haul behind your truck though Happy 4th of July !!!

Instead of just water try using fish blood, ground fish etc to create a huge bait smell. Also multiple smaller hooks too.

To get any accuracy you aerodynamics AND SPIN. Without SPIN it will knuckle ball on you. Knuckle ball make it dance all around in an unpredictable way. To get accuracy you will need a way to impart SPIN. Like they do in the big leagues. 😎

In Texas, those juvenile black drum usually don't have worms and are considered good eating. Minimum keeper size is 14" iirc.

Great stuff Skipper...❤❤❤just curious does that part of urs coastline have any large edibles..in SA we have lots of game fish too esp surf fishing ..eg Carricks..Salmon..Stumnose ..massive PAMPANO like 5 to 10 kg range and many other edibles..we target these fish on nearly all our coast line and the fish may vary depending on our choice of bait...Yet we SA like the great white or sharp capital of the world but we know wat bait specializes for edibles ..rays or for sharks...how I wish think other viewers as well will wish you catch a massive edible bro cos you use top gear which most of us in SA dont even come close to even imagining owning any of ur specialized equipment ❤❤❤just my small input bru❤❤❤❤

Why don't you freeze down some chum ( ghost shrimp, shrimp, crushed sandflees and minced squid ) into bullets. Then on a lower power, chum the area you're casting your baits too. P.s. bait cannons are banned in certain places. Illegal in the UK.
