I'm at 13:00, and I don't known if Hickok made it clear (no offense, just trying to help) its likely that there was a mass-flagging job done on his channel, probably anti-gun. If people flags a channel enough, it will be taken down and will be placed under review by youtube. I cant think of any reason you would be upset at Hickok, hes a nice guy, and keeps his channel shooting focused. No politics, no operating BS and no racism. He goes against almost all stereotypes (except for being southern) and is one of the model US gun owners.

I just want to say how much I appreciate the work you and John have put into this project over the years. I am now in my fifties but only in the past few years have I been involved with guns. I became a gun owner for personal protection and for the fun of shooting. Your work was a great influence on me in making that choice. I appreciate the way you present yourselves and the information. The years of knowledge you share is always entertaining and always extremely enlightning. You are both the epitome of gentlemen. The way you handled this situation, whatever the cause, was a great example of grace and self-restraint. It would have been easy and probably very understandable for you to leave KZbin angrily and go onto Facbook and other social media to berate KZbin and Google+ for this unjust action. You could have taken the "low road" but you chose to be gentlemen. I applaud you for that. Someday I would love to meet you both in person and shake your hand. Unfortunaltey I don't know if that will ever be possible, but please know that I have a great amount of respect for you both and count you as friends that I have not yet met. Be well and God Bless!

They did this same thing to Stefan Molyneux a year or so ago right after he spoke at a Bitcoin conference. Not related to your content, but similar to you, he is at odds with the powers that be. That nervousness that you felt before and during the making of this video? It's called the chilling effect. Someone is saying: "I'm going to take your livelihood if you step out of line." It's a very powerful sedative to the would be purveyors of dissenting speech. Funny enough, the hullabaloo around you being taken down has led me to to your channel for the first time and I'm going to subscribe. I hope that this event doesn't have its intended effect, and that you fellas continue to put top shelf content out there and continue to help defend our liberties. They're more important now than they ever were.

Yeah I did a little bit of research after hearing about this and apparently it's possible to help along the automated process of channel take down by outside parties. This seems like the most likely explanation in both cases given the complete lack of notice or warning to well-established partners combined with the prompt reversal of channel deletion upon review. It would be nice for KZbin to share this with people who fall victim to it, but I imagine they're not too eager to publicly share ways of hacking their systems.

In the 60s and 70s, I served two gigs with the military, did military police duty and served as a local policeman. I knew my weapons and knew how to shoot with desired effect. Now, I'm in my 70s and feel the need for being armed for the obvious reasons. Your videos are a critical part of my getting up to date on the important details of the weapons and ammo I'm purchasing and considering, as well as getting up to date on technique, safety and effectiveness. Just want to say thanks for your effort and what you do. You are a vital part of the shooter's community.

My 19 year daughter regrets teaching me how to watch u tube, but I love it. Its a great forum to discuss firearms and learn about the proper use and handling. You know, I have been around a while to the point where I guess someone at my age has got more good days behind than in front, and I am sure you guys might have some similar thoughts on this but I want to know where my country went. I want to know where someone who just owns a gun is treated like a leper used to be treated in the Middle Ages came from. I want to know where it came from where if you didn't own a gun, fine but it didn't mean you wanted to take away those from everyone else. America I knew and grew up in has vanished and I don't know if it's ever coming back.

+Bayan1905 On an optimistic side, maybe it will be the shooting and gun-owning community that can lead the way. I can't think of anything that seems to divide people more than this issue, but the gun owners are growing in number at an exponential rate. Even private companies will eventually have to compromise on their anti-fireams policies if 80% of the population is pro 2nd Amendment. It will have to actually affect their buisness, their bottom line.
