This is a fantastic job. I've always thought of doing this. If I do this, there is one thing I want to do which is remove two feet of clay and add select fill, pack it, then add sod. Just too expensive to pull the trigger. I have the same type of yard as you

yeah I removed about 6-8 in of clay from the back yard where I did this project and replaced with top soil. I rented a small skid steer, was about $450 for the weekend. The sunbelt rental near me gives you one day rate when rented over the weekend. The 4yd trailer was about $300 for the weekend and I had a free place to get rid of the dirt. The top soil was about $30/yd. Glad you liked the project and thanks for watching.

I just went to my local soil guy and asked for topsoil. He mixes in about 20% red sand before loading it up. I just told him it is for sod and he loaded it up. Didn't want garden soil. Hope that helps. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching.
