Still in love with the track. Lowkey wish it was a sample so I could do a sample breakdown, but I might still do it as a part of a longer track breakdown video

I'm considering. The video is doing above average and replicating it should be easier than it was to make this one. It was supposed to be a super simple video, but I used this as a test subject for a bunch of new video editing techniques, which made this take forever to come out. This video was recorded at the end of August lol. Now that I have the "template" it should be easy to replicate and do it every week or every 2 weeks, since I have a lot of music to share.

I had the exact same reaction when I first heard paranoia. Such an emotional track despite the outwardly off-putting vocaloid sound.

:) Insane meaningful considering what happen with the artist.

Can you make episodes out of this "niche" topic? Like a "Hidden Gems" series of episodes. I think that would expand your channel and open it up to regular consumers, up to audiophiles and beyond.

I'm finishing a HUGE documentary that will be up next week if everything goes according to plan! After that my content will revolve around me making music, and some series that I can do consistently and don't f me with copyright. This will likely be one of them!! Thanks for the encouragement :)

love the rare dilla beats in da beginningggggg btw quick edit but if u wanna break down more dilla u should do 24k Rap off of Jay Stay Paid (aka Track 23 on 2003 Beat CD #2)

the Homework edit for J Dilla - Track 14/15 has been keeping me company while I've been busy with some other work. Man the hours just fly by while I listen. I will take a look, the simple ones I'm doing shorts, but the goal is to have enough Dilla breakdowns for an hour long compilation for Dilla month in Feb :)

whats the beat playing throughout the video in the background? also i wanna recommend checking out this subgenre called hexd, its an acquired taste but i've really grown to love the crunchiness of it. Classic Project 2000 by team mekano is a good example

Thanks for the recommendation! And the beat is Track14/15 by Dilla, it is some unreleased stuff

Vocaloids are so misunderstood by most music entusiasts. People think about them as a "weeb thing" or something strictly related to anime, but at it's core vocaloids are just an instrument and can be used in all kind of ways. There are many talented producers that use vocaloids in many different ways and can meet the taste of everyone. Anyway Narokx, if you are new to vocaloids I recommend the work of wowaka, he was a very talented producer
