J. Cole released the much anticipated music video to his song, “Middle Child." We look at all the hidden meanings, Easter eggs, and references that even the biggest hip hop fans might have missed.
In the video he seems to reference the fact that he's yet to win a Grammy and that he's awkwardly stuck between two hip hop generations. He also appears to tackle the topic of cultural appropriation of black people and artists. What might be most interesting is that the video might be referencing his past beef rapper L'il Pump.
The video shows that while Cole is continuously overlooked in the music industry, the rapper is still a quiet but deadly hunter. In the video, he puts rappers' heads on a mantle, and shows a white woman literally shopping for a black woman's face. Here’s a breakdown of all things you may have missed in the rapper’s newest video.

There is no versus for me it's about the two entities respecting, learning, and receiving encouragement from one another which describes as well promoting progress. I am so thankful and proud of Mr. Cole's ability to middle his way through all the crap and come clean out on the other side. There is proven scientific facts that everyone needs & wants validation and confirmation for a life lived However in this dog eat dog world I've learned that sometimes you don't get that and the best acknowledgement of one's efforts has to come from oneself. It's about being thankful, patting yourself on the back, keeping it moving and quietly but graciously exhibit humility just like Mr. Cole's is doing well. It's been said he's an absolute pleasure to work with according to women, because he's known to treat Ladies as if they were his own family of females, a sister a mother, an aunt all as some one to handled with care. @LightsCameraAshley
@LightsCameraAshley 5 жыл бұрын
Adam R yes you are correct imitation is a form of flattery. However, it can be a bad thing when people are constantly being put down by the same people who imitate their culture. For centuries dark skin and black features has been seen as undesirable and made fun of and still is but on non blacks those same things are praised (including our fashion and hairstyles) so that is why many people find it upsetting. Black people are treated as the underdogs in society so it’s a slap in face to be subjected to a certain kind of treatment from society because of the way we look, talk or dress, and have someone else do the same things and not go through what we go through because of it. That the best way I could explain it🤷🏽‍♀️

@૨σყαℓ ƭεε kenneka jenkins is the young black girl that went missing in a Chicago hotel and they found her body in the freezer. It's believed she was set up and some of the hotel staff were in on it. Her death was considered "accidental" and that she wondered into the freezer on her own while intoxicated. None of it makes sense and people are up set because they feel/know that if it had been a white girl they would've cared more and investigated more and would've brought justice to the girls family.
