I hate when people say the Wii U sold poorly because of power. The Wii and Switch are both underpowered as well and look at how well they sold. Also claiming the Wii U was overpriced doesn't make sense either because the Switch is literally the exact same price.

the Wii u and Switch have the same amount of vram and ram. Justt the CPU architecture is different

@@Flygonnerrs That makes a lot of sense. The Wii U was ahead of the 360 & PS3 in terms of GPU and RAM but lacking in CPU. That’s why the Switch’s CPU is considerably more powerful but has the same RAM and VRAM as you said.

The main reason the wii U failed was because of marketing and the name. Besides die hard Nintendo fans a lot of regular people think the wii U is just a wii attachment.

​@@rocketmachine905Also, the wii u wasn't actually portable. The switch being portable boosted sales like crazy. And since Nintendo combined the home console and handheld market, many people who only played handhelds like the 3ds bought the switch.

Also the wiiu is super easy to mod, and once the store shuts down i dont feel bad installing any game i want

Hey now. Zombi U’s multiplayer is one of my favorites of all time. The gamepad player places zombies in a simple RTS while the controller player plays an FPS. It’s great fun! Definitely don’t skip it if you see it cheap.

I played it again recently for another video, and I'll be the first to say that I was wrong for clowning on it. I think it's a decent game that uses the Game Pad in a creative way that enhances the horror atmosphere of the game

I don't think ZombiU is something to avoid desu, apart from the fact everyone I know who has played it had it crash repeatedly at the same place. I think it is a pretty decent game nothing incredibly special but still fun nonetheless

The top reason for the failure of the WiiU: people didn’t understand what it was. People thought it was an tablet add-on to the Wii. Nintendo didn’t even decently show the console during the first reveal and focused on the tablet. The marketing team that were on the WiiU deserves to never find work again for the rest of their lives.

Great video. I'm checking all these videos out to see if I need to grab anything WiiU or 3DS related before the online goes down. I especially like the section on games which play better on WiiU. One reason I never picked up Toad for the Switch is it didn't seem to make sense without the gamepad so I downloaded the trial and sure enough it sucks on Switch. Don't downplay Chronicles X, great game and one I'd love to see get a sequel. Another one that will miss the gamepad though.

Wii Sports Club had a physical release, and it is pricey nowadays. But as you well said, is just hd of what we have gotten before, and for some reason not too good. Very nice video, thanks. I like my Wii U a lot (the tablet is my favorite controller as of today). Btw, I recommend Affordable Space Adventures. Best Regards.

It was a failed mainline console that was so bad that Nintendo exited the console business completely and now only makes handhelds, like the Switch and "Switch 2." The Virtual Boy was not meant to be their next mainline console and was trying to quickly cash in on the VR fad of the mid 90s.
