Enjoyed the walk and secret paths. I used to work at Riverdale Outdoor Pool back in the late 70's and 80's and used to love sitting in my guard chair or office looking at the skyline in the evening and after sunset. One of the most beautiful views there is in Toronto.

Having been born and raised in Toronto, I never knew this path existed nor the bridge lol ! The path looks a bit eerie, but walking into the park is gorgeous. Never been to Riverdale Park. Thanks for the tour around !

You've again taken me down memory lane. Toronto appears quite civilized and full of nice places. Who would want to live any place else? Toronto has it all.

I lived in that neighborhood for about a year and a half 20 years ago it was fine took my Dog to that park regularly but since I heard about that Danforth shooting a couple years ago when the Second Cup I worked at was even hit now I am not sure what the neighborhood is like anymore.

HI !! I ENJOYED YOUR WALK, A LITTLE INTIMIDATING WHEN YOU CAME TO A PATH WITH NO MARKERS AND THEN WHEN THERE WAS A CLEARING AND ON THE BRIDGES. I'M GLAD YOU KNEW WHERE TO GO CAUSE I'D BE UPSET AND OVERWHELMED THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING. LOL I HAVE AGORAPHOBIA AND THIS WAS THERAPY FOR ME. I ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE RIVERDALE ZOO BUT COULD NEVER FIND IT AGAIN. I THOUGHT YOU WOULD COME ACROSS IT ON THE WALK. NEVER KNEW THESE EXISTED UNTIL YOUR VIDEO, LOOKING FORWARD TO OTHER GEMS YOU FIND. THANK YOU AGAIN AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY. ❤🙏💙💕

While we normally say bathroom or restroom here in the U.S., my grandmother (1919-2005) said washroom. Actually, being a Pittsburgher, she said worshroom. Anyway, nice to see something I'd never see if I'd visit Toronto.

If you get on your bike and ride it out there you will find interesting paths in Toronto, I found this one about 5 years ago, and there are many others. Every time I ride my bicycle in the city I explore and find new hidden paths everywhere.

This takes me back. We lived on Dearborn Ave. until I was 9. We'd walk to the Riverdale Zoo and get a 5-cent bag of popcorn from the gentleman selling from a cart. Life was good.

Thank You Cheesey Rider for giving Johnny this suggestion for possibly filming and investigating. This was really interesting, walking this path with him for the first time ever. For Johnny, who is our Santa Clause, who keeps on giving and giving too all of us all year and who is our Christopher Columbus bringing us all too sight's that we ourselves would never have seen. I've been across the bridge countless times with a cycling group I belonged to. Nice capture, I just wish you would do a zoom into the old Don Jail rather than show Bridgepoint Hospital the a pan across the jail, it was a bit confusing.

What public transit can you use to get back to the subway? Is this route bikeable (looks to have some rough patches) with a hybrid bike?

Im a Riverdalian resident and have noticed the park (the one on the east side) has literally become like a graveyard! Everywhere you'll look you will find headstones on trees thats dedicated to the deceased. I know it's something probably they wanted but come on - I really don't wanna sit where someone's ashes are below and the other day I couldn't take a photo of the autumn leaves because there was a headstone right at the foot of the trunk. 😤Gahhhhh.... Haha sorry for this rant.

everytime I walk the trail behind the school (Danforth/Broadview) there is always something scetchy going on. .. is that a drug dealer hub or a sex hookup spot?
@Dynamics416
@Dynamics416 3 жыл бұрын
It's a known, popular cruising/hookup spot. Happens day or night. Back in April was with a friend shooting photos along the Don Trail and we decided to walk through Riverdale Park on that exact main bushy trail in this video. Saw 2 people off the trail in the woods staring at us. It was clear they stopped what they were doing and waiting for us to leave....lol.
