If you can't and the friendship is only damaging you, honestly I'd suggest leaving but as you said you can't..... so I wish the best for you. But if you can leave, please do. And if your other friends are real, they will stick with you. Chances are some of them might feel the same way about her as you do but are just better at hiding it, so you calling her out and standing your ground might help not only you but some of your other friends leave the toxic friendship. Some peop,e aren't inherently bad, but toxic friends can actually be both bad with just being a horrible person and good, good people who don't know how to be a good friend. Try to confront them on their behavior, make their flaws known to them, and see if you can get them to understand how they make you feel. It's best to try to work things out. Though if you can't, it's not your fault and it is 100% okay to get out of a friendship that is mentally draining... you don't have t9 explain yourself to them for that. And if your other friends are your real friends, they'll still stick with you no matter what happens. People like your friend just like control, and if you won't submit to what they want or get under their pressure they have no control over you. If you can.. try to work things out and call them out on their behavior, but if you can't, it's not a bad idea to leave. Then again, that's your choice. Sorry u got a toxic friend tho. They re a pain

So we called her in our 2 seater bench, I was in the corner so I was always being pressured with the wall and the girl beside me. After this happened for like a month, I had enough, I said her to go back and sit, and she got angry and didn't talk to me. The other girl is also saying that I can't even compromise for a friend. So I broke my friendship today. One girl is a use me sign who wants to help everyone and if someone refuses, they are bad, other uses their friends in the name of friendship, and when someone refuses, she calls them selfish. I hope I did the right thing.

I left in a bad way, please be honest when you try to leave them. And if they don't like the truth then that's on them. Do not stay with people that make you feel like shit. Or your going to have a shitty mindset, and completely burnt out and so fucking depressed. I stayed for four years and I regret it.

To all those on a toxic friendship I'm so sorry I was in one and I know how hard it is to get out of it. They will guilt trip you make it seem like you were the bad friend and them try to make you come back because they like to use you. One sign that you could be in a toxic friend ship is if your friend hits you. Now its OK for like friendly pushes and that kinda stuff but its not OK to punch hard pinch pull hair etc. Another sign is that they will guilt trip you and make you say sorry first every time and make you feel bad and hurt you. They will also only talk about them self and only do the things they want to do. And if you suggest an idea they will so no I don't like that game or no I don't want to do it. And if you do t want to do what they are doing they will say you never do what I like Also if you you get into a fight then they will most likely ignore you instead of resolving it. And they will also bump into you. And lastly get mad at you for no reason. Like not doing anything at your break time. You not coming to them when they are upset but if you do come they get mad at you. You just never get a break. Now how to peacefully get out of this toxic relationship is to not talk to them. You guys will hopefully drift apart from each other. You can say it over text but keep it short and simple. Now you might thing that saying over text is not the right way but its so easy. And them in if you do it in person then they will try to make you change there mind. And last way in person. Like I just said it can not really turn out well but if they try to make you change you mind then just ignore them. I really hopes this helps you guys

I love her so much and I don’t want to let go, but she treats me like crap. All of these comments described her and I just don’t know what to do. She’ll go off on me because everyone else tells her she’s not wrong when she is, and I let her know when she’s wrong cause I want to be a good friend and help her not make the same mistakes. I told my therapist about all of our problems, most of which I’m not gonna post about for her privacy but my therapist says that she is being overly-sensitive and very toxic. She makes me feel bad about myself, excludes me, always thinks she’s right and will never admit when she’s wrong, and never wants to hear my side of the story. Whenever she does apologize, it’s fake and she never says what she’s sorry for and just says, “Oh I didn’t mean it” “Oh it’s just hormones” I guess it just never feels sincere. She also blames me for her problems and makes me cry so, so much. But the worst thing is, I’m used to it. I’m used to having to apologize cause I miss my old friend. I’m used to being walked all over, and when I finally tell her how I feel she gets angry. She makes it about her instead, when everything is always about her and her problems. My therapist helped me realize this behavior is toxic, and I should break off our relationship but I just can’t. It would ruin so many friend-groups, and just cause a lot of drama. Hello! I feel terrible that your dealing with a bad friendship, I already been through one too. Don’t worry I’m on the same page. and from seeing this comment, I kind of want to tell you a story about what happened in my friendship. (And no I’m not trying to make the topic all about me) but what happened was I had a best friend that I would never leave behind for almost 4 years since I was in kindergarten. She later went to a different school and me and met new friends. She always left me out and said insults behind my back. The only reason I knew is cause one of my other friends who is in the same group chat secretly added me in there, but had a hack to where it doesn’t show that they added me. Later in the span couple months, they start talking about me behind my back, but are super nice to me. When they talk to me. and later a fight broke out between my friend. Jacob and Ansley Ansley was. Jacob was trying to cure the fight by helping us focus on the future and then Ansley said these. “Yeah and you won’t shut up about” and “idc what you do” and I was very sad that she had changed ever since she met new friends and later one night me and her were talking and a little fight broke out. Ansley said that when she met her other friends, she knew what a actual true friend was, but I always helped her push through terrible arguments and backed her up in text fights. I always trusted her and helped her push through hard times that she had, and ever since her friends joined she no longer appreciated it, and then clarified that she never liked me and never trusted me, and then told me a list of things that she did, and clarified the truth. I understand that this is a lot to read. Sorry about that. But what’s crazy is that she broke our friendship because I trusted and helped her. after that I felt super bad. Thinking of what I did wrong and one night cried myself to sleep. The same night I texted my friend Jacob, and he said that I should not cry about Ansley because she backstabbed me. @@AveryTheSkeletonI’m gonna tell you the story of how the toxic relationship between my friends is still going on and it’s getting worse So basically a few months ago these two girls O and S were best friends with B then they just all of a sudden turned on her and kept yelling at her because B liked to hug them and call them Pookie and stuff like that to show them that she really appreciates them as friends then O and S after around three years of being best friends with B they decided to take a break from their friendship Then, a few days later, I witnessed the B crying in the library and obviously I comforted her and then the next day I found her crying in the bathroom so I comforted her there two (everything that happened definitely affected her mental health.) Then later B and her only other BFF got into a huge fight that coned them to stop talking (they still don’t talk) obviously I comforted her and became her BFF and honestly she is the best person I have ever met Then fast forward two weeks a judge group of people turned on O and S because whenever they invited someone else to join their friend group they would kick them out two days later so everyone was saying bad things about them. (also a few things they were saying was O changed for this one guy C then they started to date so S changed for O and also said C kept talking really bad about O and they are in a toxic relationship.) also the group that started talking about about O and S had 17+ People H,H,G,C,D,C,L,K,H,Z,L,M,B,J,L,C,C… etc also only 27 people know about this drama. And ya there is a lot more but I’m to lazy to keep typing lol I am so sorry that this was so long but It was definitely really good to talk about and not keep it to myself.

My friend exactly she's been my bestir for like 10 years and still treats me like crap even though she knows I'm hurt already cause my other friends were toxic too and they left me too but she still hang out with them even though she knows the whole situation i cannot even completely cut her off cause we see each other in school everyday i see her laughing,talking and enjoying with those toxic people but she don't even care that i stopped talking to her like today i just asked the other friend to pls speak slowly in class as i cannot concentrate(that girl literally shouts all the answers and things just cause she studied it already in tuition i cannot even listen to what the teacher is saying)so i just said this and my so called supposed bestie started shouting at me that i should change my seat and sit somehwere else. She even said that it was peaceful that i didn't came for 2 days(i was sick) but that peace is gone again that's when i decided that enought i won't talk to her again but seeing her unaffected by it i wanna just go somewhere and never show my face again cause no one gets me and cares about me...

My two best friends met each other and started to talk about me behind my back and they lied to me and about me. I decided to give them one more chance because they begged me and I don’t know what to do. I have NO other friends so if I lose them I’ll be lonely. @@myliss6100 yeah, ig it's good to have these kinda friendships at some point in life so that you can learn how to choose ppl to be with. 8 months ago when I wrote that comment, I could've given anything to get rid of those ppl but now I think it wasn't that hard to get away from them. Just move away swiftly and yk not by causing problems so if you meet them in future (which I hope you don't lol), you don't cause any trouble to each other. @@astrophilehere..343 As you said I have to put my mental health before anything else, and at least I learned something from it and they also gave me some good memories at some point and kept me company, but time passes and people change so our mentality might've changed and make it harder to understand each other I guess, I can't expect form people to change so I just need to let go. Hii I meant to ask you something. I have this friend of mine that is supposed to be my bff. But the case is that she gets made at me for anything I do, even for a tiny mistake I might have done or just because I don't agree all her opinions. I need help deciding on whether to let my friend go or not. We've been friends for about 2 years now and she's just started to become toxic. She makes fun of my weight sometimes,(keep in mind I'm a little overweight and I've shared a bit of my insecurities with her) but she always says "it's a joke" or "just kidding" but it bothers me a lot. Another thing is when I'm with her and some other friends her and one of my other friends will just do something else like I'm doing something for them. For example we decided to make pizza together but I just end up making it for everyone or all of us having to clean up while we are hanging out at my house but I end up having to do it. The last thing is that like 2 years ago when we started being friends, we have a school trip to Disneyland and me and someone else in our group didn't want to ride the incredicoaster because at the time roller coasters made me have very bad panic attacks so I couldn't go on them. So we didn't end up going on that ride, and she still uses it as an excuse to get me to do everything for her ( ie. Pay for things, and do work like I mentioned earlier) Should I not be friends with her?
