That’s the only time that things go kaput - when you’re going to need it. It always worked that way in the farm - Blizzards coming - boom either the thermal coupler goes out (3 times during bad weather) or out propane would need service. Love how your animals talk with you… soooo cute. They all really believe you can understand them. Hope you all stay warm and they get you fixed up soon. Huge Hugs and pets to all the critters. 🤗🤗🤗 ~Becka

It's 23 degrees here at 3:28 p.m. It was 13 degrees yesterday and my power was out for 12 hours. I hate this cold. We have snow with a sheet of ice on the top today. I would settle for rain. Try to stay warm and dry. Sorry your heat pump is broken. I am so anxious to see the puppies. With the colors and patterns of your dogs, I think they will be beautiful.

Good video. Animals all have food and shelter and do not seem to mind the weather changes or rain. Hope your heat pump gets repaired before temperatures drop dangerously low. Pray the puppies can hold on for a week two before they arrive. Take care and try to stay warm.

Our Wyoming Life Mike said it got down to -57 degrees overnight, and it never got above 0 degrees. I thank God I live in California. We don't run the heater because we can't afford it. Inside the house, it stays 60 degrees. I live underneath a heated throw. Sorry about your heater. Alpacas socks are so warm while. ❤❤❤❤

I hope you all stay safe and warm during the storm that is coming. I know you still have to brave the elements to feed and water and shelter your animals. You take such great care of all of your animals. Olaf looks so much like a fluffy lamb, rather than a baby goat. All of the babies are so cute!

Love playing June's Journey. Olaf really did look like a little sheep. Thanks to your wife I remembered I had clothes that need to go in the dryer. I was off on the number of babies in the dog hutch by 1. My son was impressed, I guessed so close to the number. Sorry about the heat glad you have backups. Ours always goes out at the most inopportune times as well. Glad yours was still under warranty, but sucks the part had to be ordered. It is so cold here. Hope Cora is able to wait till after this awful arctic blast is over. God bless

Kevin please put some carpet or a rug of somesort in Kora's whelping box new borns can slide over to mum easier than on hay after a week or so it probably won;t make much difference but they can wriggle to mumm easier on flat carpet like surface , saves um getting a chill because they can't work their way through the hay and as they can't generate body heat straight away you don;t want them getting cold , as it might not end well. Have a great day , I enjoy your channel. Regards Sydney Australia.

I agree with you about redundancy for heat! I got an email from my power company saying that due to the high demand nationwide, natural gas prices would be higher than normal. I turned down my thermostat, layered up, plugged in my electric radiator heater, and isolated the living room to keep the heat in. Stay safe in this cold snap - it is -7F / -21.5C - wind chill knocks it down another 5F.

How cute are those little baby girls hiding underneath those dog houses. That was really smart if you could get those.!! I’m sure a lot of people are going to use your idea now. I never realized how cute baby goats could be until several of you farmers started raising them.❣️❣️ They really are not only adorably, cute, but they are so playful and usually within a week or jumping around chasing each other, and climbing on things in their antics are just hilarious ❣️❣️❣️❣️ I do not envy you the cold, rain and sleet you’re getting. Iowa has been bomb blasted for this past week with snow, sleet and ice and subzero temperatures now. So much is being canceled because of our weather. I don’t think your puppies are coming within seven days . I’ve said all along that mama does not look that pregnant and I’m glad she’s starting to get bigger but in my opinion from being around dogs most of my life, I think she’s going to go past her due date, which would be good due to your weather. Either way I way, I’ll be praying for her and all the puppies.

With the emu feeder shaving the emus neck - if you get a piece of normal hose pipe with width of the hole slice it down one edge and put it over the bottom edge and drill a couple of holes in the drum and the hose ( through both at each end ) a 2 minute job , and put a ring / pull tie in each end it will help stop the chaffing . You only need to cover the bottom part of the feed hole . ( cheap , quick fix ) your welcome LOL You could just screw the hose in place but having kept emus in the past they tend to catch on whatever they should'nt , so pull ties are safer.

You can cover the mineral feeders with self-closing rubber cover made from a soft rubber matt. It needs to hang over the edge about an inch or two. The Goats will push it up to get the minerals. When they move away it will drop back down keeping water and poo out. If you look it up, you will see round ones, but they will work cut in a square also.

Kevin put some foam on the bottom of the food holes they stick there head. The foam will prevent rubbing. You could also cut an old pool noodle and use that also.

At first I thought that sounded like a great idea. Then I started thinking about emus picking at it and digesting the foam. Plus, the goats if they could reach it. They'll eat about anything. I'm still trying to think of a non-edible solution.

Growing up the central air died in the summer and the heater died in February. Of course my dad got the heater fixed in February but he made us suffer without the central air in the summer. Our 2 story house was still hot upstairs in the summer when the AC was working. We had no ceiling fans and no fans. And one window in each room. And no breeze. We thought we were gonna die. 😂

Kevin, check for Cora's due date! Be sure you clean out her box and keep the goats out of it. Get some old towels together and put them in a bag out there to keep them clean. Hook up your camera, quiz the girls to see what they have learned on KZbin. Start locking her in the box at night then let her out in the AM so it's not foreign to her. That spot in the corner you just showed us it NOT NOT the spot to have her babies! They won't make it! Too much danger! Get on the ball, friend, she will deliver close to her due date and you HAVE to be ready! Don't get complacent! Hop to it! Tell the girls they have to be on puppy watch, they will take on the responsibility and enjoy every moment of it! Actually, let them take over now so they can get in a routine. The life of the puppies may very well depend on them! Please don't think I'm being bossy or an alarmist, your hearts will be broken if Cora's puppies die. She will attack Leisky or the goats and put her life in danger along with her puppies.
@jor642611 ай бұрын

Big affectionate shout out to this stellar college and the vet students and all the professors, nutritionists, geneticists. Doo dah doo dah... i shamefully ignored the no pelleted feed needed because of 2 gelded donkeys i felt i was making up for their abuse history by letting them clean up the grain and pelleted feeds whic after 3 years made the boys very obese and mr rumbles passed away and after necropsy... it was a combo of age and my stupidity.
