In Policenauts, Kojima demanded that you have the ability to grope every female character. Konami said he couldn't do that as it would be extremely uncomfortable for the player to have the ability to sexually assault a woman, and he ignored them and put it in anyway. There was also a Bunch of transphobic comments in that game. Keep in mind Konami said that Kojima had a few sexual harassment cases when he worked for the company. Guys an actual misogynist. Like in every definition. Wether you like the guy or not, you cannot deny the evidence that the guy's a hugely disrespectful prick when it comes to women.

Nearly skipped this one for the thumbnail before realizing it was you... In all seriousness, I'm as horny for this stuff as any guy - and I think when mixed with humor, it strikes all the right notes for people without ever feeling stupider than it should. Just look at how many ladies out there are fans of the Senran Kagura series - it was a woman's review that finally got me to try one of them. There's also a deep end where the self-parodying feels a bit more shallow, and it's just hard to take anything else the game is saying on its own merits (I was going to say "seriously" but you shouldn't be taking very many of MGS3's scenes "seriously"). I was genuinely interested in buying a new, deep, vast fantasy JRPG from an acclaimed author on my new Nintendo Switch, up until I realized most of Rex's time with Pyra was going to be going around collecting waifus from lootboxes, touching her chest, and trying to stop Tora from boning his latest invention. Quiet, too, made me think that Kojima was starting to just phone it in. There's a limit, even for me. Also, thank you for pointing out that Snake himself is a part of the Adam/Eve reference. I totally missed that and have to start thinking about that again.
