Nice Vid bro. one of the most basic thing new jet pilot should know. many people simply don't understand this and believe a stealth jet will always win a dogfight

You know, I never watched a video about this but I do it all the time...but I always do the high one. Gonna have to try the low one out now =]

Yeah if you need to gain a decent amount of ground on the jet but you don't want to switch away completely it's actually kinda nice to just alternate between the 2 :)

You´re kinda late with that, at least for me^^, but it´s a pretty good explained. This maneuver is a absolute stealth jet killer if you´re in attack jet. I saw somebody using a program which shows you what keys he´s pressing whilst performing maneuvers. This episode is kinda easy but if it comes to something more difficult like the rolling scissors (it took me forever to understand those) something like this really makes it easier to understand. You could also edit in which keys you´re pressing. Apart from that it´s a excelent tutorial like all the other ones you did. It´s nice to see you comming back to your tutorials because there is still a lot for me to learn.

Thanks for watching man. I'm aware a lot of people already know this and more in terms of cutting. But I thought that I should start from the start if I'm getting into cutting and dog-fighting videos. That's a great idea with the keyboard, I may use that for some more complicated manoeuvres. But then the mouse is also a big factor in rolling scissors, so that would add some complication.

yeah, be cretive ;) Editing in texts or a "hand-cam" could also come in handy.

Wait, isn't a High yo yo pulling up and rolling away from the direction of turn, then continuing the roll until your facing your original turn direction? Also there's a concept called Lead pursuit, Pure pursuit, and Lag pursuit that dictates which yo-yo you should use. Lead pursuit is when you're turning too sharply and you're turning is overtaking opponent's turn, so in order to get on a pure pursuit and get more directly behind your opponent, you would pull a High yo-yo, to correct your turn radius. Conversely if you are in a Lag pursuit, where your turning too wide and can't close the gap, you would go into a low yo-yo which sharpens your turn radius allowing you to get more closely behind your opponent for a pure pursuit

in arcade games, energy of the aircraft is not emphasized thats why this is not a good scenario to explain both yoyo acms, we need to consider separation and speed, if attacker have more speed that means his rate of closure is high,separation is low and there is a very good chance of an overshoot, so a high yoyo is performed to trade speed for alltitude by climbing, then diving in defender, this will put the attacker in a lead pursuit with good energy situation but with slight risk of overshooting, but this sudden dive gives the aircraft extra maneuverability which allow for corrections to avoid overshoot, low yoyo is used to close separation in situation where both attacker and defender have same speed and energy, its more controlled and no risk of overshooting, but may be required to be done few times to trim few degrees before attempting an attack run, both maneuvers can be defended if the defender could unload while the attacker is performing the out-of-plane maneuver of the high and low yoyos, sometimes can even reverse the situation, but ofc non of that will be seen in arcade games because simply when you trhottle up you gain speed and energy and no restrictions of gforces are there, also the ability to get out of the cockpit and view the plane from the outside

+ilopid I see your point. I've have been trying to apply these concepts to Battlefield 4, but then I realized that the aircrafts do not really lose energy performing aerial maneuvers, so conserving energy is not a top priority, nullifies the effectiveness of some of these maneuvers.

If you want 'real' dogfighting, try War Thunder. It models energy gains and losses, maneuvers, and you could do real life tactics there.

N1 but in my opinion yoyo is time consuming when the opponent is not much of a pro. My counter circle jerk is looping vertically starting with a climb and when i already nose down the opponent complete half of his circle and im right on his tail. Mista Godsoldier I just cant sleep knowing they gonna change speed control, they going to break the whole concept of dog-fighting.

Why Stelth Jet have a advantage against Attack Jet ?
@NovaMcKay4 жыл бұрын
Does not seem to work with an attack jet vs stealth jet. A skilled pilot will perfectly use afterburner and always have an edge on you in maneuverability. So frustrating.
@GhostGamingg4 жыл бұрын
Yes. The SJ will always be able to out-match the AJ if the pilots skill is the same, it just has an outright dog fighting advantage. What you need is a good wingman!

Ghost Gaming - Improve Your Game So I partially joined FS and one of the members (Flargrbargr) is ranked number 2 in the world. He put together this manuscript for df'ing in bf4 that is insane. I thought you might be interested in taking a look at it. I use to be an Air Intercept Controller (control fighter jets in dog fights) and he uses terms I they use in real controlling. Here is the link, would love to hear your thoughts on this! drive.google.com/file/d/0B42X3DNgqErZTm11TmJfdm5XNHM/view

could you help on how to fly the attack and how to realize your at the right speed? since the patch i couldn't make out when i am at the right speed for example before i know i was at the right speed when the plane dipped but now its hard and even more hard with the attack jet :)
@GhostGamingg9 жыл бұрын
kiba vlood They scrapped 313 speed control in the last patch it seems mate, so there is no perfect speed anymore.
