Hello everyone at the table apologies for all the comments but I just love relaying my feelings towards this campaign and to all of you. Mark, thunderwave is a 15'R cube placed IN FRONT of the caster, NOT SURROUNDING the caster. Anyone to the left or right of the caster, as long as they aren't in the line of spaces in front of the caster, are not affected. Nova and Sentry should definitely not have taken any damage from Quill's thunderwave. It's like if Quill was holding a 30' square box by one of the faces, a wave of force sweeps out from the caster. It's worded poorly, for sure.

You can tell the source of damage is different, because Thunderwave is a Constitution save, but Nova and Sentry made (and failed) Dexterity saves, thus getting crushed against the cave wall by the flying bodies.

Mark I’ve started to notice something when you deal with distances and sizes. I think your estimations when using feet are a little off. A mile has 5280 feet in it and I think if you looked at how far a mile is on a map you’d be surprised at how small a distance it is. For instance a rugby pitch it 100m long this equals 328 foot which in your eyes seems to be a long distance when realistically it can be ran in under 20 seconds. It may well be that we just have different ideas of how far distances are but I thought I’d give you this information to use as you will :) Been watching since season 1 episode 1 and appreciate all you do very much.

It is. If your are proficient with heavy armor and have high STR, you can wear Plate armor which is 18 AC, plus a shield gives 2 AC, and for fighting style get Defense which gives plus 1 AC. I have the same build for my Paladin.

Can someone answer a question for me... How does Nova have an AC higher than 16? As far as I'm aware she doesn't use a shield, and I don't recall her getting any items that improve AC. In fact I actually don't know if she's got any armour at all... I assume she has studded leather, but that would only give her AC15 with her dex bonus. What did I miss here?

Kyle Nott she got a breastplate armour in gusthaven and got a special etherium one so she can add her entire +3 Dex bonus to it instead of the usual +2 breastplate gives you, its base 14 so i think her ac is 17, thats probably gonna be horrible to read but im tired, hope this helps

There are no rules in 5e for how lightning spells function underwater, as Mark said last episode.

Fireball and Lightning bolt both do the same amount of damage under normal circumstances (8D6) the only difference between them is the type of damage and area of effect (20ft radius for fireball, a line 100ft long and 5ft wide for lightning bolt) . . . . A Lightning bolt 100ft long with a 40ft circumference would be over the top, there are no official rules for how lightning functions underwater, creatures underwater are resistant to fire damage, ranged weapons can not shoot past their first ranged increment, and only certain weapons are fully effective underwater but no lightning rules. I would house-rule that since creatures under water are resistant to fire damage they are also vulnerable (double damage) to lightning damage.

It is a dialect of Primordial, it is a strange "language" it is more of a collection of languages, someone who only speaks Auran could not communicate with someone who only spoke Terran even though they are both technically Primordial, think of it as someone who speaks Primordial actually speaks Auran, Terran, Ignan, Aquan and whatever other languages come under the Primordial umbrella . . . . technically Giant Eagles speak their own separate dialect of Auran.

Like how someone from London can understand and be understood by someone from Newcastle. Not only is this literally the definition of "dialect", but its confirmed both by the creators as Infinatum Gaming said, and is listed as a single language in the rulebook. Establishing different dialects is just flavour text.
