Hi High Rollers crew! Been watching since Mark appeared on CR and i just want to say i absolutely loved the first campaign (especially the large scale combat homebrew will be using that) but i also wanted to say that i have absolutely fallen in love with the Aerois campaign and actually prefer it to CR campaign 2. The sci-fi/fantasy mix is such an awesome setting, the in depth lore/attention to detail is something I really enjoy as i'm a massive lore monster but also i wanted to mention how much a stroke of genius Starbane is as a BBEG. The best villains are the ones that arent straight forward as life often isn't simply black and white but rather a shade of grey. I hope that in the future you might release a campaign guide to Aerois (kickstarter?) but failing that i hope the high rollers crew see this at the very least, you're all fantastic role players and give the story such great immersion and help me through the week. much love from the south coast uk x

Mark has said in the past that he plans to make a campaign module out of Aerois when it's finished so you will get your wish.

A point of note for Mark, spells only cost an amount to cast if they say they consume the materials. Otherwise you only need to pay for the materials once. For example Warding Bond material components cost 50gp, but it doesn't consume them so once you have the materials you can cast it as many times as you want without paying the cost each time. Also Tom should read the whole spell... That was naughty stopping right at the point where it says walking on lava still damages you. Edit: Mark... the creature couldn't move. It was restrained... twice.

Hello love the campaign so far. Aerois has been my favorite. Finally all caught up after like what Halloween last year? I had a bit of a hiatus, I work and to make it to 61 this is just a treat. Seeing the fanart, the fan music, the way everything is going on with the characters especially Sentry. I'm going to have to say everyone from Lucius to Quill is my favorite cause in my opinion you can't seem to pick a favorite. Love the campaign, the lore and the RP is top-notch! Just sorry to say personally finding a bit hard when every other combat ends up with characters down and seriously injured. When I am totaling lots of dice, I group them into multiples of ten. It makes things a lot easier. So if you roll 9d8 and get 1, 2, 5, 8 , 2, 7, 6, 3, and 4 group into... 8 and 2=10 7 and 3=10 4 and 6=10 And then you are left with 1, 2 and 5 I physically move the dice into the groups so I don’t have to keep track as I go, that way, when I add my leftovers, I just add up the 8 and then tack on the three groups of 10 to make it 38.

Absolutely loving the campaign still catching up! Little bit confused about the whole Herald thing.. Way back when the mysterious necromancer guardian was draining peoples life to add more years onto guardian lives.. he was branded disgusting and unforgivable we have to kill him! Then later Herald who literally consumed the life essence of hundreds of guardians for her own gain just deserves a second chance and Sentry cares for her and she becomes a member of the party...? Like what? Why is Lucius the only one who is totally not okay with that lmao

I don't think RP-Wise it's too bad. I also think that the Necromancer Guardian (Breeze?) wasn't supposed to represent evil, he was supposed to represent chaos. A party that would play characters more hard-defined by the "alignments" of the DnD world could absolutely side with the Guardian who was afterall drawing life from humans he deemed to be not worth living, and the particular guy he had with him during the ritual was one of the racist fanatics. The party decided that they would have to save the life of the human (also remember they didn't know of this human sacrifice before getting there), and that caused Breeze to attack them. They also didn't kill him as he ran off, they probably would have tried to just KO him and learn more about the mentor he mentioned. With Harold, I think the difference is that Sentry learns right away through the Echo that the "hunger" to consume other guardians is something that 'happened' to Harold after he initially did it out of desperation, not because he felt superior. There is also the clear "seperation" between the good in the locked away Echo and the bad in the quasi corrupted Guardian and it is presented as reversable from the point they find the Echo and trying to help others is just what this party does.

Just FYI for Kim/Mark, Tomb of Levistus' ice has vulnerability to fire damage, so Nova would've taken damage from the boss' fire breath at the start of the fight.

Sentry should've definitely taken the "Hazard damage" from being submerged in lava. The rules say if you are unconscious and take damage it's a failed death save. But if it's enough damage, it can still instantly kill you. And being submerged in lava is 18d10 which averages out to 90 points of damage, enough to insta-kill Sentry... Not that I want that to happen to Sentry. But that is why lava is supposed to be scary. Under no circumstances should you *ever* want to be unconscious under it.

That ready action attack thing is stupid, because readied cantrips will already go off in full. It disadvantages martial characters when compared to casters, and just by virtue of being martial characters they're already at a disadvantage because casters are OP. Martials don't need the hit that makes them take. Also a spot of noticably good DMing from Mark to give Trott an encounter he can feel good about, after the whole ship fight debacle where he just missed everything.
