For a minute I thought this was gonna be about the football coach from my high school. Allen Mitchell. He was also a COUNSELOR. He took advantage of students who trusted him. But we won’t have to worry about him for about 20 more years. This type of stuff is so infuriating. In a place that children should feel fully protected.

Thank you for being such a strong voice in defense of child victims, and reinforcing the way that these things _should_ be discussed. Why are so many journalists still talking about these things as if, like you said, there's an *illusion of consent* when it's🍇?? It goes without saying we have a serious problem with the way we discuss, or _don't_ discuss, things in the US and the damage it inflicts on us and those more vulnerable in society continues to get worse.

This is why it’s so incredibly important to monitor your children while also ensuring they’re comfortable sharing things with with you. Parents are letting schools raise their kids, and in a place where pr*dators make their hunting grounds, we need to do a lot better for these children. So sad.

My teacher in high school also had an inappropriate relationship with a 15 yr old. The reason no one “notices” is because the teachers chose to overlook odd behavior and my concerns about my own and others’ safety because that’s their friend and they can’t believe they’d do something like that. Also, he built up to this behavior for years so that the people around him excused it because “that’s just how he is”…. I had been alerting the people around me for years and he wasn’t caught until my junior year. Sick

Summer of 2022 i was called for jury duty for the first time. I had not idea what had happened that was going to be tried but when I figured it out, wow. In my shitty little hometown, a private school football coach had been charged with inappropriate touching of male and female students. I was super surprised that I didn't hear about it before that but I guess that's part of why they had a HUGE jury pool (1k+ potential jurors) (and I was #33 of course). His name is Alvin Mumphord III and he was found guilty. I was pissed I wasn't picked for this jury. I wanted to help put this sick man away. Luckily, this guy got 54 years in prison. Edit: according to my local new, these were his charges. "Mumphord was convicted on six counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student, three counts of indecency with a child, and eight counts of online solicitation of a minor involving sexual conduct."

So the school wants to paint themselves as blindsided - after countless times watching him be inappropriate with children and just said "huh!" instead of firing and reporting him. That means this could have been prevented but the school didn't care enough.

There was a case of this at my Australian High school. A 19yo guy came back to repeat Year 12. The 22yo female first year PE teacher started to sleep with him. Principal was advised. Education Dept said they couldn't do anything about it!

Recently, the elite girl's college where I had worked offered an unreserved apology to ex-students after they told that about 3 decades earlier, 2 male teachers had walked into the change rooms when girls were changing.

As I grew older I watched different stuff and kind of left behind some of the other creators I watched. Recently I started seeing your videos again and fondly remembered your vlogs. I went to a school district called CSD and I know that there were at least three separate staff members that I heard who had inappropriate relations with students, and I know that the male coach was actually held accountable, and I don't know if the first person before that guy was held accountable because I know that there was another coach, and there was also another coach, but this coach was female, and she was also a mother of one of the like popular girls in my grade and she also had a younger son like two years younger than us and I remember that her husband is also a coach for the high school like she was and the student that she messed around with was one that like everybody kinda already thought was like older than what he was, but that's not on him that he clearly like you know, physically mature quicker than other people, but like I never knew his age and I thought he was like 1718 maybe and so I didn't think too much of it that that happened because she didn't legally get in trouble and I don't think anything happened to her job and then on top of that we have the age consent here 17 and know that there's Romeo and Juliet laws but she was like a 3040-year-old woman not like an 1816-year-old you know what I mean so that doesn't apply to them, but I don't think that anything was nonconsensual in that because nothing was done, but I can't make that choice or decision for certain because I'm not him or her so I can't say for certain what that was or if that was just purely rumor or whatever but I do know for a fact, there was a coach who was being inappropriate with the younger girls and I also know that there was another coach and a closer school district that I think also did that and this is all on the south coast of Texas like so much of that just like under the rug and like I don't understand how that can happen and I guess it's because that school chooses to spend money on a little plane you know better background checks for their teachers and their staff members and this is the same school district that when hurricane Harvey hit these freaking girls were crying and crying because like one of their five gyms got destroyed and so Ellen like she didn't even come to the school. She just like sent her like camera crew and like y'all can look up the episode. I'll probably link it in the reply of this comment but it's just like they were just so grateful for that and it's like, but y'all have like four other gyms like what why did you need this brand new fucking gym and it's always like the sports kids that would get all the new stuff and like none of the band students got new instruments from what was damaged from the hurricane you know like it's just really shitty to see stuff like that and I think that that's such a rich school district too but yeah I know so many teachers that struggle working in that school district and I also know so many students that struggle and get left behind and I'm one of them and it's just a horrible school district and I wish that more school district were looked into and like reprimanded for all the stupid bullshit crap that they do but it's never gonna happen and I'm sorry if this is long and incoherent I'm using voice to text but I don't know things go wrong at school for me because my mother pulled me out and like I wasn't eighth grade and I graduated in 20 or I would would've graduated in 2022 so I don't know what year eighth grade was for me, but it was like 2019 2018 maybe and she pulled me out of school because it was the middle school's first year of letting the eighth graders go to the high school for theater class again and that particular day they didn't communicate between the two schools that there was going to be a lockdown drill while we were getting sent to the high school so the high school is already lockdown and our middle school in our high school are on the same block, so there's like a choir room in between the two backs of the schools and there's like the track the gyms all that other stuff that's very like shared anyway we passed by the high school choir room and the lady just comes out and is like you're not supposed to be out here and she never took us in which I know like from what I was taught when I was younger, you're not supposed to. You're just supposed to find a place and hide but we didn't even know that the high school was in lockdown and we didn't know that once we got back to the front of the middle school because the back was locked up we didn't know that the middle school was also in lockdown now so we're at the front of the school now because we had to walk all the way around and it's right by the main road, so it was really dangerous for us to do that and then we're like they're banging on the doors such a begging to let let us in and then they were just like what are you guys doing out here and it's like we were sent over to our class and then everybody was in a lockdown. We don't know what's going on so they hit us in the library and it was just super fucking scary. It was the most scary thing ever and then come to find out there was a man across the street the same street that we were walking on to get to the front of the middle school had guns in the back of his vehicle he could've had them there because he went hunting the night before or whatever like there's no solid evidence that he had plans to do that anything with them to the school I just know that that's very prominent hunting town and like people just like their stuff like that there so you know he very much could've just had them because that's what people have and their vehicles down here, but it was really scary to think of how quick my life could've changed and the people with me too, and it's just super scary that that happened and then it wasn't even addressed. It wasn't even like a thing or whatever because none of us still to this day know if that was real or not and it was just the most terrifying thing of our lives and at least for me it was and I don't know. I've just had a really bad taste of school ever since that and I'm sorry to dump like this and a KZbin comment but it's just the schools are not safe anymore whether you're dealing with inappropriate staff or you're just dealing with like you know the education system just not being worthwhile anymore or at least how they've been doing it. Something needs to change and be better for these students because you know shit like this was happening to me back then I can only imagine what kids go through now and it's even worse now they're actually going through really really traumatic events losing their friends losing like their siblings like it's horrible. What kids go through nowadays at school it's not just going to get your education. It's just you're fine for your life, you know it's horrible to think of all the little girls that I'm seeing that are getting bullied liketaking really drastic measures that's horrible to think that there's kids out there enough to push these kids to these and then not care that they do that like what is wrong with like what is wrong?
