I honestly believe that the reason she hates SpongeBob has nothing to do with the fact that he’s a bad student. He’s a great student, but I think she has severe PTSD every time she has to get in a car with him from the amount of wreckage and damage he cause on top of the amount of times she’s almost died with him behind the wheel.😂

In my view, Mrs. Puff committed a cardinal sin which is to never look a gift horse in the mouth. SpongeBob was doing great which is all she wanted him to do and once she pryed into what was making him do good unknowingly, then everything went to heck. She brought that on herself.

Yeah sadly this is the only episode i remember with the voice changing gag SpongeBob creator Stephen hillenberg was an actual marine biologist he drew a comic with the first versions of these characters to teach kids about sea life and. Nickelodeon picked it up for a cartoon!

With how destructive SpongeBob is while driving, this episode is the only one of two episodes I know of where Mrs. Puff was taken to the hospital. The other was a Season 8 episode called "Demolition Doofus," where she suffered a major injury during a driving course.

Chimps Ahoy is a kind of school related episode. Sandy's professors come to evaluate her inventions but of course SpongeBob and Patrick mess it up. There are also more Mrs. Puff episodes but they are much more recent episodes than what most people grew up with.

Like I said before spongebob in the show has failed mrs puff driving tests 38 times according to this episode(this is season 1) So spongebob for the most part doesn't have continuity like most shows,but the previous episodes(different ones from each season)you watched with spongebob failing mrs puff's tests could take place before This episode(from season 1)

Ah, a very classic Spongebob episode! I also find it kind of funny that Patrick knows so much about boat driving even though he doesn't have a driver's license himself. But there is an episode where he wins a car. It's called "Driven to Tears." That was a funny reaction! 😁👍

Based on this, and other episodes, it seems like the only thing holding SpongeBob back is his nerves. Halfway into the test, Patrick starts goofing off, but that's also when Sponge does his most impressive driving. I believe that just having Patrick's voice in his head was enough to keep him calm during the test. I would also like to request the episode "License to Milkshake" It's about Spongebob going to Milkshake Academy, to renew his milkshake license

There is a British tv series where a teacher tries to teach foreigners how to speak English better called Mind Your Language. It ran from 1977 to 1979 but it is quite funny for a old show. Thought it would be interesting seeing you react to how different things or similar things are in British schools compared to the ones in the US. All the episodes are on KZbin and free to watch.

in season 1, Patrick was actually slightly smarter than he would be in seasons 2 and 3. he wasn't a genius by any means, but he was kind of like a mentor to SpongeBob in a way, considering that SpongeBob was more naive in season 1.

Mrs. puff finds spongebob unteachable, however, she should find a special way to teach SpongeBob to drive a boat. Maybe either the following. 1. Mrs. Puff should take SpongeBob out around the test track and on the road to do practice lessons. She should drive the boat while SpongeBob just watches how she drives the boat. Then SpongeBob should then follow the way Mrs. Puff drove the boat. 2. Get a Boat with 2 steering wheels. And she should steer the boat spongebob tries to follows the way Mrs. Puff Steers the boat. And she could probably take her hands off steering and allow SpongeBob to continue the steering the boat.

Hmm, if you want a taste of a modern SpongeBob boating school episode, then you could try "Potato Puff" which is from Season 13. It has Mrs. Puff teaching SpongeBob while not exactly being inside the boat. "Tutor Sauce" is another great example from Season 9, which has SpongeBob get some different help (not saying by who lol)

I like this episode cause of the moral it gave (don't cheat). However, I was expecting you to say something like what happens if a student cheats on a test, standardized state exam, etc. in your state or school district.

Yes - in reality most teachers will give the student a zero or make them take a different test. On a standardized test the score would be invalidated.

This is treated differently depending on where you are. In general the teacher would give you a zero and (maybe) allow you to take a different test over the same subject.

I think knowledge exams are for learner’s permits and the driving test is to get your license. At least that’s how it is in Illinois.

That’s basically how it is in Maryland as well. In MD, you take the road test and receive your provisional license if you pass. It’s pretty much the same thing as a regular license expect there are some restrictions such as you’re only supposed to drive between certain hours depending on your age. You hold it for 18 months without incident and then you get your full licenses in the mail.

You brought up a good point about Patrick. It definitely feels like they were still deciding his stupidity level in the early seasons, so it varied per episode. But in the later episodes he got way dumber, and it made him less funny.

This would vary widely by school. I would guess not, but it depends on your school’s policy. If I had to guess, fees would accrue by “school day” if its a daily thing.
