Here's a idea for the side: T3 metal and warehouse keys, or something else with max durability, that's invincible basically. Or just build a funnel made out of warehouse keys. So the bosses get funneled to the trap, therefore they cannot do damage to the sides.

Protect ramp and bounce floor with warehouse keys, but only add a corner (even one strip) of warehouse keys to the side so that bosses can’t get closer to crops or break anything. Also if you want a warehouse key pole just overlay them so each warehouse key touches 2 others

For those "dummy" barriers for the tapebots, make them horizontal slabs, that are flush with the ground, sorta like the sand, so that tapebots might shoot them, and other bots just walk over them

Well, I have a somewhat practical idea, but it requires preparation: Automatic turrets. They are not that expensive, you only need the trader spudgun(s). With simple logic you could make them cover more area, rotating it with a controller and stopping and shooting when it detects something. Should be efficient for covering thin areas, like the sides. Has efficient damage/potato ratio, dps is only limited by the amount of spudguns, doesn't vaste ammo if activated by sensors. Be careful not to activate it yourself though.

Besides, if the turret is stationary you could use multiple sensors, maybe slightly rotated to get out of the way of the potato, but you would then run into a potato shooting feedback loop, so probably having them not intersect the potato path is a better idea.

Idea: put warehouse keys on the side of the bounce floor, maybe a few on the side walls of the base too. Also if you put the bottom (not the back) of the warehouse keys against the sensor pillars then it will still be one block wide, but it will go out more.

You've been collecting materials for explosives, right? Make a mine field. The bosses do damage with their legs when they run, so explosives should blow when they make contact. Or just have some that you can shoot when a boss gets near. Just protect the front so tape bots can't shoot them. Explosives do big damage to bosses.

Warehouse keys to protect the sides? If it works to protect the sides from the boss and your main traps work, then you can "easily" earn the keys back.

For the sides, make some 1 block thick and like 10 block tall pillars in such a distance from each other that you can go between but not the boss. It should be quite cheap for resources and effective.

You might want to invest in a few "hammers" on the side. Like swinging from the arch way a mass of concrete to possibly hit and ragdoll the bosses out of those little dips back towards the straight-a-way towards your base. You might also want to build a kind of lip/awning for your rampart. If those bosses start blasting their chemicals, they have free reign down on you and that'll cut off a section of your wall. If it detonates higher up, no big deal. But the hammers could be straight pistons (resource extensive) or swinging from a bearing and I'm sure you have a few batteries or controllers lying around so you could either do a controller or electric engine. Just ideas.

ScrapMan, please read entire thing (tried being resourceful) Line the inside main wall of your farm (behind bounce floor) with teir 3 metal (or strongest closest material) and cover the end corners with some half decent, able to take some hits (strongest available) material in quick reach or teir 3 metal, blanket like cover, to wrap around important things.

To protect the sides, maybe punching pistons on a fast controller that keeps pushing them back. Attach a line of warehouse keys to the pistons, that should keep him from reaching the mechanism, and maybe a running sawblade on the end to add some damage, since the sawblade survived his attack.

Extend your ramps and traps a few blocks over the water so when they come from the side they still hit the wheels. Or extend the wheel trap from where you have it now to the wall of the towers/half way to the towers.

Since you have plenty of warehouse keys already, I would run a line of blocks (t3 metal for durability preferably) out over the water from the ramps, maybe halfway to the bridge area, and line that row of blocks with the warehouse keys. Since the keys are indestructible the boss should pathfind to the front where the traps are. That or make a horizontal platform in front of the vulnerable spots with some saw blades to deter the lower level bots, that way the boss will get slowed down a little bit hacking through the blocks. If you could position some of the mountable spud guns on auto turrets covering those areas the boss would take a lot of hits while mostly stationary to chip at the platform.

Warehouse keys of course for the sides. Just put 2 rows of them as a blocker out a few blocks from the main defense section so you don't need to have so many keys, it's just to keep them away and it won't break. You should make the merlons higher (where you hide behind the wall) so tapebots can't shoot over them and hit you when you stand behind them, also around the towers.

You need to put concrete under the sides of the bouncy house and cover those sections with warehouse keys, so the boss can't get in. You already tested the keys and they can't destroy them, so use them to your advantage. Maybe even line the bottom edge of every outside wall with the keys so no bots of any kind can break through.

@ScrapMan About the bed location: Put it behind some cover and put a chest with spuds next to it. About the wall: Remember the efficient wall from your first farm ? Put a layer of T3 metal horizontal plane, lay it on top with boss keys - you've got a shield wall ... Make the whole wall layered with boss keys :p unstoppable force vs unbreakable shield

Very good video, congratulations! I had some ideas, and if instead of the wheels driving backwards they would push forward, and instead of the bouncing floor there were saws (at a lower level than the ramps) wouldn't it be better? I mean, the closer to the base, the more "lethal" the traps should be and killing automatically would be safer than killing manually. In my world I tested building where I didn't want the bots to spawn, it seems that the game creates a spawn ray around the plantation, if I build in that radius then the robots appear in another point of the radius. Perhaps building platforms on the sides (where they currently spawn) will make everyone spawn in the middle. I hope I helped, good luck with the raid!

You should definitely build a Craftbot chain with an independent output chest. Two Craftbots have a decent production rate, but having five or six will allow you to mass produce anything you need, and produce it all rapidly. Parts with long craft times are especially handy to have mass production for; like saws, drills, and chests.

Stand over a farm plot and then shoot it so it plants a spud. Then shoot it again and it grows instantly. You use 2 spuds but get at lest 5 spuds. You dont even need to water it. Try this yourself.

For the next raid maybe have a little platform with a seat extend outwards from the top middle of your base as far as possible. That would make the enemies come torwards you so they would center themselves relative to the base. You'd have to avoid the tapebots somehow or quickly kill them first though. Surrounding the seat with some tier 3 metal would probably be good enough. If you die it's no big deal as long as the bots had time to move torwards the center.

Just put the sensors on the bottom of the walkway pointing down, they will detect all bots regardless of height, and will be out of the way, allowing for a continuous row of wheels. Of course you'd need a LOT of sensors, but it should be completely foolproof.

Subway is that move back and forward in Spain so put some on the side of your face and put on the scout around waiting over by the washers that will prevent certain friends from going to your base because I’m into sauce and you’re both going the opposite direction one goes forward one goes backwards as soon as the wage the wall we go back to the go back-and-forth constantly in Spanish

Base defense probably needs an overhaul, expendable sentry guns would be a good idea especially for Tape Bots, either enplaced in the castle walls or scattered in defence positions around the perimeter

while it is a bit resource intensive, you have the resources to put a line of warehouse keys on the t3 metal linings you just installed. I am pretty sure it would take a lot less than 54 of them, and the panic box seems like a much less urgent use for keys than protecting the base, since as long as the base is standing, you can easily go and find more keys to re-armor the panic box if needed

Tier 3 metal, it doesn't matter if they go to the side if they can't break anything there. You wont even need that much as you don't need to build an entire wall, just a rail to keep 'em away. Going to have to do more experimenting to see if you can build it so it funnels 'em to the middle. Also find out where they spawn and cover it with blocks, so they cant spawn there anymore, as far as I know bots can't spawn on player-made surfaces. Or for lulz, make a bunch of big Hank pens out there so they spawn inside of them.

You know the big hollow gap under your base? You could make a bunker there just in case there is a massive raid with like, five farmbots. You could make it with a layer of warehouse keys on top of a couple layers of tier three metal. You could have a spare refinery and craftbot with some chests for storage and lots of ammo. I also have an idea for a kind of story behind it. If your castle gets destroyed, you could say that the world has become apocalyptic and you could make a new base in one of the burnt ember biomes

I think a warehouse key pole fence might work. Just enough so that the bosses don't get through it or over it. that way even if they don't get hit by the traps, they can't hurt your base.

When I have a specific area i want bots to funnel into, I make a vertical wall on bearings set at an angle so that it funnels them in. In your case, it would have to be made of t3 metal and keys and be at a steep enough angle that it makes the bots move along the wall instead of stopping and destroying it

You could use the warehouse keys to protect corners/the sides of the bounce floor. Obviously that wouldn't work for the whole side, but at least you could protect the traps.
