Cardiff supporter here but always had a soft spot for Wrexham, especially in their giant-killing years. The football being played here is something else. That last passage of one-touch play, with Elliot Lee's shot being palmed away, was just sublime. Palmer and Mullin are so smooth, I can't believe this is a 5th-tier team. I'm envious that you have such visionary owners but I wish you every success, it'll be fun to watch this phoenix emerging from the ashes.

+1 @alan! throughout the match Wrexham's combination play and partnership in the build-up was astounding. They are playing a much higher level than the National League. I also have been following the team as part of the ownership project, and love the light it is shining on the lower tiers of English (and Welsh!) football. They are making a strong case for promotion, hopefully they can get it across the line this season...would be great to seem them continue to battle Grimsby (another lower league favorite of mine) in League 2.

He was League 1. He's probably able to get up to the Championship level, but hard to see in the PL. That's the bittersweet part about this team...if they achieve their goals of promotion through the next few years, they caliber of player needed at the higher levels is insane. Jordan Davies is brilliant and playing amazing football as a local Wrexham product, but can probably only go so high. I guess the solace is that it will take a number of years to move up the ladder, so each season's crop of players can play their part at the right time.
