Paulina addressed in a masterclass how difficult and frustrating it was learning how to sing while drumming at first , off course she was 6 y.o., her drum teacher encouraged her to do it from the beginning, so she developed the skill and now she says it is more about having and training the physical condition to do it... Thanks for continuing with TW. To answer you’re question about Alejandra singing lead, yes she does so occasionally, usually when Dany isn’t up to it. She prefers to sing backup, but she’s more than capable of singing lead when required. There is no “pro-shot” footage of Ale singing that I’m aware of, only fan cam footage. Easily found by searching TW Ale sings.

*23* to me, *23* is a song about caring deeply for someone from afar, holding back, and then realizing that, in the future, they will meet that someone again... how they will handle their feelings and memories and what may possibly happen... then again, while it sounds personal, maybe this song is about something they might have read or seen in a movie or TV show... after all, their song *Amour* comes from a 15 second clip of a scene in the movie _"Ratatouille"_ ... that scene has the camera looking through a hole in the wooden floor... there are two characters down there having a fight... maybe a lover's quarrel? i don't remember... anyway, they are arguing, they suddenly hug each other, and it is done; end clip... you can see the scene here about 40 seconds in... kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHzSd2R9bNaMebc there's also their song *Wildfire* which was inspired by _"The Hunger Games"_ movies... i think at least the 2nd one titled _"Catching Fire"_ ... DPA/TW have drawn inspiration from a lot of places... IRL, books, movies, games, etc 😹 this song has brought tears to many eyes... while being a powerful drummer, Pau is also a fantastic and very emotive singer... i don't go a day without hearing DPA/TW... they possess both, my heart and soul... Singing while playing an instrument is complicated. Some never make it. Among those who do, playing the guitar and singing is the most common, followed by playing the bass and singing, which is even more complicated, but the most difficult by far is playing the drums while singing. Doing so requires great concentration to maintain independent control of each foot and hand and also sing. On the other hand, you need to be able to keep your voice stable and in tune while making the movement and physical effort to play the drums without getting out of breath. For all this, there are very few good drummer-singers. A true elite to which Paulina belongs.

Being cool, chill and introspective doesn't mean that you are shy. Ale is far from shy, she is a thinker in conversation, letting her sisters speak and interjecting when necessary. And when they are on stage, she is the metronome and alters her play to fill in any errors her sisters make. Just wait until the song is written that suits her voice best.. I for one cannot wait because she will KILL it

And Dany’s atmospheric guitar and Ale’s bass work is really beautiful as well. If/ when you go back to their early performances, you’ll see that she’s been singing from behind the kit, so for over 12-13 years at least. One of the most important and wonderful aspects of Pau and her sisters is how much drive, dedication and hard work they’ve put into this band and long standing fans (much longer than I) have been able to watch that over the last 10-11 years that they’ve put out videos for us to see. Apparently, you missed where she sang "Fast forward to 23, barely old enough to drink." I love the passionate facial expressions she makes in the last verse. Ale does sing on 2 or 3 songs, but she's not the vocal artist her sisters are. She contributes in a very valuable way as a background singer. Musically, did you notice that the song creates a tension at the end because in those last notes Dany plays on guitar, the very last one doesn't resolve. It doesn't return to the key of the song.
@oregonlt38 ай бұрын
23 can be the year, Or could be an age, (But it’s the year as no where is 23 “barely old enough to drink”) according to Pau, it’s called 23 because it sounded better in the lyrics than 19. As with all The Warning lyrics, it is whatever the listener needs it to be to speak to them personally. So The Warning just dropped their ‘Hell You Call a Dream’ live at Pepsi Center 2023. It’d be a great one next. Or keep going with anything from Metropolitan.

Not sure about the title, but when I got drawn into the warning army, Dani was 23 so that's my guess. They are 2 years apart each of them. Pau, in addition to singing when she exercises, has been singing while hitting her drums for many years, which is why she has it perfectly mastered. As you're already checking yourself, they have nothing to do with commercialized and artificially inflated bands around the world. They are the youngest veteran artists in the rock world. Metallica, Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, Guns 'N' Roses and Muse are just some famous bands, some have shared the stage and have been very pleasantly surprised by TW's proposal, like all those who have sold out their concerts in the US. Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina… In addition to Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic and United Kingdom. NO, I'm not mentioning the rock festivals, where they were also very successful, but where they headlined and were the main attraction. Muse was so impressed by the girls, who opened their concerts in Mexico, that they invited them to continue with them on their tour of Europe and even in their own country of United Kingdom. It's redundant to say it but they were also very successful. Among their TW fans there are musicians, music producers, sound engineers, roadies, vocal coaches, etc., from all over the world. Furthermore, and no less important, they are the first Latin American band to sign with a top international record label (UNIVERSAL). And just superficially mentioning what happened at the MTV VMAs where they very positively impressed (impacted) the production staff and everyone who witnessed it. Btw, they are the first Mexican band to perform on MTV, in history. All over the world, budding rock groups are covering the band, including Asia and Australia of course. And that DPA are doing all this at their very young age and on their own merits. What they did not do was stagnate solely in the field of rock in their own language, which is the "ceiling" in which other Spanish-speaking groups have always limited themselves. It’s such a talented female band that does not “exploit” its sexuality, they’re educated, humble and such good human beings with a truly exemplary attitude. This year they will play in several European countries in which several have already sold out and have even had to change venues in others. And they will also perform at the Wacken Open Air 2024 in Germany, the most important heavy metal festival and at the Pol'and'Rock in Poland, considered the largest music festival in Europe and they will be on the main stage in this one. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️

What can you say that hasn't been said? Besides the obvious musicality here, the lyrics are a punch in the chest to anyone who has experienced an unrequited relationship like she describes so eloquently. The song is like many Pau writes... To me, 23 is the polar opposite of the entire theme of Queen of the Murder Scene album. Both touch on either real or imagined unrequited affection. In 23, the lyrics suggested that the protagonist took a much healthier approach to being rejected or not acknowledged, learning to cope despite however painful it was. QOTMS was an entire album about the protagonist not being able to cope with a similar situation and all the craziness that ensues after.
